AI’s Impact on the Chinese Economy

September 27, 2023 - In the second session of Asia Society Policy Institute’s (ASPI) Center for China Analysis’ (CCA) webinar series on U.S.-China Generative AI Competition, an expert panel explores the challenges and opportunities that AI introduces within the Chinese context, its extensive influence spanning diverse sectors, and the necessary workforce reskilling demands. Participants include Nigel Inkster, director of Geopolitical and Intelligence Analysis at Enodo Economics; Caiwei Chen, China reporter at Rest of World; Michael Frank, senior fellow at the Wadhwani Center for AI and Advanced Technologies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS); and Elsa B.
