The Culver Avenue Shuttle (SS) Was a relatively short-lived line connecting the present-day F line from Ditmas Ave to the D Train on 36th Street Station.
It had a total of 4 stops. The Culver Shuttle ran a total of 20 years, from October 30, 1954 to May 10th, 1975.

I rode this shuttle once, in February 1975, shorty before this was shot. I was coming home from high school and wound up on the F train at Ditmas Avenue, I believe. Had to take the Culver to get back to the 9th Avenue station, my local stop. Was one of the few times I was in the lower level of 9th Avenue. Miss those days.

Thanks for posting. This video has more footage than the previous one I saw especially the latter part with the stations. Wish the MTA never removed this line along with the 3rd Ave el, and Myrtle Ave el.

Things just get too old and can’t be fixed. The culver shuttle was the most useless line in the entire system.

I rode this line in the mid 60s when the BMT Standard cars from 1914 were used as the equipment.

Excellent video of the Culver Shuttle. The only thing I remember about the Culver Shuttle is when they were tearing it down in the early 1980s.

That was kinda disappointing. Too much focus on 13th Ave and Ft Hamilton Pkwy stations. Would’ve been nice to see the train terminate at the mystical 9th Ave lower level .
