You really jammed that plunger down. It was backed up cause it can only grab so much. You usually push it down to let it grab it and it just does the work, it is called a _slow juicer_

when it gets stuck just keep the plunger down until the masticator is able to grab it.....and just use the plunger to push it down only just enough so that it can cut a piece threw the tube, its not gonna go down any faster by smashing it repeatedly like that.

maybe the inconsistent pulp size and pulp feeding were due to improper assembly? that silicon seal looks beefy and hard to lock
