Aidaprima: Der Maschinenraum von innen

In den Maschinenraum der Aidaprima darf eigentlich niemand, der dort nicht arbeitet. Für Frank Behling wurde eine Ausnahme gemacht.

Indeed are the MaK 12M46DF and the 12M43C simply the most reliable engines in the world. MaK also produced the M25, M20 and the M32 series engine, all fit for use of Heavy Fuel Oil. The M32 (in that case the M34DF) could run on LNG as well. Unfortunately the MaK brand (stands for Maschinenbau Kiel) was killed by Caterpillar in 2021, production stopped by the end of 2022! The downfall of the brand was initiated when production of the smaller engines was outsourced to China, many jobs were lost in Germany (not only in Kiel and Rostock but also from sub-suppliers all over Europe).
