This is a full walkthrough of our exclusive DRL Bezel Kit for the 14+ Toyota 4Runner. This video shows the installation for the switchback kit however, if you are installing the amber or white only versions you can disregard the steps of tapping into the turn signals.
Note: The 2020+ fuse box has been changed by Toyota and the INJ fuse is in a different spot. These do still work and allow the fuse box lid to close however, the piggy back fuse does slightly push up on the lid creating a small bump. This has not impacted any operation or caused any issues as of late.
For those running headlights or raptor lights that also utilize the INJ fuse, you can get a T-Tap or wire tap from your local auto parts store and cut one of the piggy back fuse holders off one of the harnesses going into the INJ and use the wire tap to tap the other piggy back fuse wire in the INJ fuse. This does not cause any issues or draw too much amperage.

Hey I’m having having trouble with some grille lights and having a location to plug them in. Im thinking of splicing then together with the fang lights. Is that something that seems okay. All together they would both pull in less than an amp

I ordered XB Morimoto Headlights and Bezel kit which is white only (not switch back) how do i connect both XB headlights and the bezel to the fuse box is it the IGA fuse or INJ fuse and what AMP 10 or 15?

On a 2021 the INJ fuse is in a different location and the lid won’t close with it there. Any suggestions??

If you tap into one of the low beam headlights H-LP RH-LO. they will only turn on when headlights are on.

Can you ground the AJC lights and new Alpha Rex lights to the same bolt next to the battery? What’s the process of removing the front bumper with adaptive cruise control?

Yes you can and to remove the front bumper with the TSS you will remove the two 10mm bolts just left of center of the grille and disconnect the connector for the TSS.

Yes, you can cut off the piggy back fuse and wire tap that wire into the headlight positive circuit. Connect the ambers per our instructions.

Just installed these on my 2022 - with the new style fuse box I cannot get all 3 clips to lock. i have raptor lights in there as well and have tried shaving the opening on the lid to create more space but whatever i do that 3rd clip below the INJ comes un-done seconds after i get all 3 to lock. is there a deeper fuse box lid or any other solution? I also tried plugging into my headlights but cannot be done with my raptor lights because the wire comes out of the side on both add a fuse plug ins

On the DRL Bezel harness the red with piggy back fuse goes into the INJ (10a) fuse spot (remember to take out the 10a fuse and put it in the open spot in the piggy back fuse holder), the black wire goes to the ground bolt where the ground from the battery is connected to in the fender and the yellow wires on the harness under each headlight is for the switchback versions and go to the yellow and blue wires at the turn signal bulbs. Not sure what green wire you are referencing?

Hello. If you put the piggy back fuse in the INJ fuse spot, they will only come in with the ignition on. They operate separately of the daytime running lights.

I have a 23 Trd off-road premium, the inj fuse is raised up so the piggyback won’t let the top close. Any suggestions or ideas on where else to plug it in

I run raptor lights in the grill as well that use the same piggy back style fuse on the INJ is there a solution so I can have both?

You can use a T-Tap into the power wire for the raptor lights to power the bezel kit. Both don't draw much power at all.

Is INJ the only location to install in the fuse box? Have a 2022 Pro and the box is slightly different and doesn’t shut with the added height once installed.

@@camirenvarela2159 Hello. The lid will be tight. Clip in the front facing catches and then apply pressure on top of the lid near the latch at the back keeping the front two catches in place. It will bow the fuse box lid slightly but will not cause any harm. We are here in the shop if you need to call in for assistance.

No it can’t go opposite. Also, DOT says they have to be amber for the turn signal.

Yes the 2023 fuse box is a different layout but you will still use the INJ fuse but note, the lid is a little tougher to close with the fuse being up higher but it will close with a small bend in the lid. See the description under the video for further information.

How do I t-tap ajc lights and raptor lights to my alpha Rex wiring?

You can get a t-tap and spade connector from your local auto parts store, clip off the piggy back fuse holder and splice on the spade connector on the red positive. Then add the t-tap on the AlphaRex drl positive and plug the spade into the t-tap.

The switchback can it be not connected to the turn signal. What I want to do is make the white light as a drl and the amber night time running light. I don't want it to blink

You can power the amber LED’s separate to say a switch if you like. Just give them a 12v positive source.

I’ve had them on for about two weeks. They look fantastic. However, just yesterday truck gave out on me. Took it to Toyota, they diagnosed and told me the problem was due to plugging fuse into wrong location. “Nothing should be going into INJ fuse” is what they said…$300 down the drain for me.

Hello. We are extremely sorry this happened to you and thankful no one was hurt however, this would be caused by not fully inserting the piggy back fuse holder into the INJ fuse causing it to pop up and loose connection. The piggy back fuse will "click" in when pushed all the way down. To note the INJ fuse is used in this manner by all aftermarket light manufacturers to get an ignition source in the engine bay. As a prior Master Toyota Tech, Toyota dealers will state that you should never plug into any fuse and won't even recommend adding any aftermarket electrical in order to cover their butts and avoid any liability.
