I think Toyota put that mailbox looking thing to give the fog light some protection from getting dirty because the passenger side inner fender well is louvered and allows water and mud in. I think it's vented to allow cool air up into the intake.

I got fang lights without a ground. Any idea where to attached the ground wire to the existing fuse wiring? Thanks for you time.

Ground wire hooks up to the battery ground, mounted to the inside body of the frame near the battery/fuse box

What was the mod or as you mentioned “tweek” that was made by morimoto due to the different fuse tap configuration for the 2022? My runner won’t start when I have the fuse slotted in INJ.

I have a question about the fuses. So I bought a set off Amazon. It has 3 different colors. White for driving, amber for turn signals, and blue for when full headlights are on. I have a 21 so my fuse box is probably very similar to your fuse box. I got the fuse ran to the INJ for the amber and whites -- no issues there . The blue lights are the issue. My lights have a 3rd wire (white in color). I can plug it into any 10 amp fuse and they stay on constantly -- which will drain the battery. The Amazon website comment says to run the white wire to the low beam positive wire and it'll come on when lights are on. Problem is wire isn't long enough to do that. So my question: is there a workaround in the fuse box so I can have my blue light? TIA!

There are some 10A fuses under the drivers side footwell with a plug that can be removed to run wires into the firewall/engine and connect to the battery. I'm not sure how long the wire is. Also, there's a fuse that will get power randomly, even when the car is off, because the cars computer runs updates, providing power to certain fuses

@@RydinNStyle The wire isn't very long so I wasn't sure if there is a work around or not. I watched your updated video about your morimoto headlights and grill lights. I don't have morimoto headlights, but have Caliraised LED grill lights and mine will randomly come on. After seeing your vid, made me feel better about them randomly coming on. But thanks for reply.

It's the T-Rex grill insert, but will require modifications because of that front sensor

Hey boss, I was in the process of installing the fang lights and due to the location of the inj fuse holder, i cannot close the fuse box with the piggyback plugged in, how did you close yours ?

Mine closes but doesn't snap shut, it's a give and take with the fuse box cover because of where the required fuses are located in the 2021+ 4runner setup

I’ve got a 23 and it’s close to closing but not close enough. I’m too worried about leaving it like that and water getting in

@Ryan Frangie another option is to cut a slit in the cover to run the wire through

The wires seem to fit just fine when closing it but it’s more or less the piggyback being too tall. Might try some stuff though

Yes, that's what's required for proper function
