as opposed to moving on from a hard point in life, I think this song reminds me of coming back to something you've made peace with. Like running your fingers over old scars that used to be open wounds, and not remembering watching them heal, but now they've faded. Remembering the good, however little it was, that put them there. and knowing that you've found peace now. to me this song feels more like a bittersweet remembrance in contrast to, or maybe in tandem with, moving forward.

the intro really does feel like you’re slowly moving on from the scary moments in life. i recently got broken up with in a toxic relationship. i’m glad it’s over but i also miss our moments. i wish i will find someone much better because i deserve it. every time i hear this song it reminds me of him, my first love, my first everything. if only he was a good person, if only things were different. he has already found a new girl and i’m jealous. i cant help but miss him and the times we had but i guess it’s normal. we looked good together everyone said and i cannot imagine myself being with anyone else. but i know the future has much more to offer me. there was something about him. something in his eyes. it shined so bright as he smiled at me. his smell, his laugh, his hugs. it sucks having to let go but it’s such a relief knowing i don’t have to overthink and cry over him anymore. my boy, my first love. in another life you’ll be great to me. to anyone who reads this, know that you won’t ever be alone. the hard times in life helps you learn. you have to feel pain to gain even more happiness. you have to get worst before getting better. love yourself, try always :).

Going through this right now (but I frequently chat her and not in a relationship with her) but I'm staying away for her to be able to focus on her studies. It's really rough not having that someone who is the motivation and the reason you are happy everyday anymore. She was the motivation and the person that kept me on going with my studies because I'd share every Achievement I got in school with her. But now I got to celebrate it alone now and have to create happiness for myself since she isn't usually replying anymore due to excessive amount of assignments and projects she has to do in her school. I've liked her for a year and never liked anyone truly during that whole year besides her. I really got no one to talk to this about and it's been swallowing me up little by little so I just thought of expressing it in this comment section. I hope she is okay and is all right, I always pray to God she be well and take care of herself.
