In my head, this song is tied to breads. My boyfriend and I used to call each other "loaf". On the day of our 3rd anniversary, he passed away. This song would occasionally repeat over and over in my head whenever I went to bakeries or even passed by the pastry aisle in grocery stores, as if a loaf of bread contained the life we had. It made me think about how there are other people as well who carries a piece of late loved ones or someone who was once in their life that they couldn't put down because it doesn't belong anywhere else but with them.

Definitely see this song different than most people… this painfully reminds me of my fiancé. He passed away in April in a car crash 11 days before we were supposed to married. A few years ago, I met her. I mean, we started as usual, just talking, and everything was smooth. We understood each other clearly, and we knew exactly what we had. We promised each other that we would stay and wait until we graduated college before becoming official. She wasn’t my first love, but I was the one who waited and courted her. After a month, I got a girlfriend, and I admit that even though I was in a relationship, she was still on my mind. But that faded because I eventually grew to love my girlfriend. After three months, I broke up with my girlfriend. Then, after 3-4 months post-breakup, I talked to the girl I liked, along with one of our mutual friends. I found out that she had been telling our friend that I ghosted her and suddenly had a girlfriend. But, it was actually she who told me to stop. Then, last week, we spoke again, and the same thing came up. She asked me why I didn’t want to just be friends with her. I told her it was because I still had feelings for her, and I could never just be friends with her. The girl I liked also said she didn’t want things to end the way they did, and she thought that when she told me to stop, I wouldn’t leave her. But for me, I have high self-respect. Once you reject me, I’ll walk away. I just wanted to show her that I’m not like other guys who would beg for her, no matter how much I liked or loved her. I wanted her to understand that I wanted her to respect me more than to like me back. So even though I still have feelings for her, I’ll never reach out to her again. I’ll just focus on myself and pursue my goals. I've talked to many other girls who are even more beautiful than her, but I ended up ghosting them too. So it's better to just be happy with myself, prioritize my family, and focus on my future. To all the guys out there, never beg her to stay or love you back. Once she senses your desperation, she won’t respect you. It might just not be the right time for you to have a girlfriend until you’ve fixed your life or achieved your goals.
