Hi, greetings! Absolutely wonderful and detailed coverage. Pls advise if you do not wish to do the entire circuit due to time constraints would you be able to point out up to how many km should we walk to get to the most scenic point (giving us an option to turn back).

These hike guides are great. I'm heading to the Annecy area for two weeks in August and will check out one of these hikes. You should do another series on other nearby areas

My wife and I would like to stay in Chamonix early September 2025. We will do a few of your hikes. Will we need to rent a car or is there another option or hikes if we stay in the central part of town?

My husband and I are in our mid 60s we will be in Chamonix in May. We would love to find a high altitude hike that is not too challenging (5 miles or less). I've noticed several lifts are closed in May, but we plan to take the Aiguille du Midi. Maybe a hike from one of the Aiguille Midi stops? If anyone has suggestions, we would really appreciate the advice!

@@nancyburke8942 I have to disappoint you about the possibility of high altitude hikes. May is still spring conditions with often a lot of snow. The snow line is different each year but May is most certainly too early for most hikes. If there's a dry spell with hit weather there's a tiny chance this one is possible without snow gear. Most likely, you'll need some kind of winter gear for the upper parts. It's possible but unless you're experienced I suggest getting a guide.

Is it possible to get to the trail head by public transport?

super nice video, what we can expected on may (end of may around 20th)? Rainy? sunny? warm? cold? whitch your recommended hikes are ok for this month?
@DieterVanHolder11 ай бұрын
Sunny with loads of old snow left above 2000m. It all depends on the year. Sometimes snow lasts deep into June

I've noticed you're hiking with your dog are dogs allowed to join your entire route? I've read there are some regions they are not allowed. @DieterVanHolder

They are indeed not allowed in the Aiguilles Rouges. For exact regulations I recommend talking to the local tourism office

We are looking to do this route in September! I see you have your dog with you? A lot of conflicting information on which routes are dog friendly. Any tips? Thanks!
@DieterVanHolder Жыл бұрын
Depending on your dog's fitness, it should be fine. September is usually a lot cooler with a lot less people. Dogs are only forbidden in the Aiguilles Rouges. All my routes except for the ones passing through there are dog friendly in September. But, then again, I don't know you or your dog.

@@DieterVanHolder thank you! That’s good to know. He’s very fit (just come back from a week long trip mountain-climbing), but a lot of areas seem to say dogs are forbidden, so I was a little confused!
