in March I (184cm,68kg,bodybuilder) was lessoned in front of a supermarket. There was a brawl concerning a trolley with an about 40 year old woman with thick ugly specs. Since she only was 150 cm, she was an easy push and I pressed her 2 meters back and downwards with my hands on her shoulders. Then she enclosed my right wrist, a short aching,she went aside and I tumbled to the ground on the back,and that in my full black leathers. On the ground, I realised a sprain in my right arm making it useless for further combat. The specs lady saw my surprise and stretched from right to left over my chest, snatching for my left arm poising it in an awkward and helpless position I never saw before. I was completely under shock and could no longer move none of my four limbs. I flushed and even fainted.I only remember some passers by in the audience saying "Look at the arm of that lady,look at the arm of that girl,you ever saw this before?".After some minutes,we were finally separated by the security and the specs lady said:"Guess you never exspected me to know the Aikido,hunny."Believe me,my biceps arms had no ch😮ance versus an Aikido application.

@@robshef718 .Next day in the local papers I read; 6 inch woman bully tamed by tiny psychologist. Thanks to God on the photo ya couldn't recognise my face.Onlly my blond hair covering my right cheek as a contrast to my black leathers. Shouldn't have seen my bewilderment when I later in handcuffs was pulled up and looked down at that woman.

There was once an aikido instructor that I heard of who previously did boxing for 10 years straight. He converted all the attacks into boxing jab, crosses and hooks and made his students defend against that. From what I heard, the aikido practice became a lot more intense and painful!

your aikido can be anything you want. i can assure you i dont train my aikido mostly like these. an aikido technique always have 2 parts in my eyes. theres the off balance/striking part (happen instantaneous) and then theres the mercy part (fancy/locks/throws)

I liked the way at 3:43 she pauses the action to let him feel the way she has broken his balance. And a good illustration of how shihonage works well when nage is smaller than uke.

There was no shihonage on 3.43, there's a ude kimi nage.

@@slavqnin66 You are right that there is no shihonage at 3:43. But that pause is followed by ikkyo. The ude kime nage comes earliers. I should have made it clear that the shihonage I was thinking of comes at 4:29.
