50 different Aikido ukemi drills in 7 minutes flat! Ukemi is an intrinsic part of Aikido, and learning to do proper ukemi is an important part of your Aikido practice - that's why I hope that by watching 50 different ukemi variations, hopefully I can inspire you to advance your own ukemi training in Aikido!
In the video there is both ukemi that is better for beginning Aikido practitioners, so the ukemi drills are not too difficult, but there are also different ukemi exercises that are more aimed at experienced Aikidoka. Hopefully no matter what level your own ukemi is at, you can find something that fits!
Ukemi is an important part of Aikido. It is trained so that Uke does not injure him or herself when taking a technique, and proper ukemi ensures that uke can take the technique safely. That is probably the biggest reason that ukemi is trained so intensively in Aikido. Being able to do proper ukemi is needed to properly learn to flow with the techniques, which is why all Aikidoka train ukemi so much.
To See 65 More Ukemi Drills Click Here ►bit.ly/1OUMkkA
This video contains 50 different Aikido Ukemi rolling, feather fall, various high fall and partner exercises shown in 7 minutes. Exercises vary between beginner and advanced levels. If you need a tutorial for one of exercises let us know the number of it in comments and we will create it.
Big Thank you to Mark Rodgers for the idea of this tutorial.

This was really cool! I especially like the rolling stuff! I might try using some of these! I'm pretty much a total newbie and I always find that I'm very stiff and choreographed (I can feel that my back isn't rounded so I "thud" and I also always have to think before I roll and get stuck in a loop of rolling from and to the same positions when practicing without a partner). Thanks for this video! Lots of food for thought :)

No one has written that such a video can not be viewed, because the transitions between the cuts blink a dark background, which makes viewing the video very unpleasant. It is better to do either without such a transition, or with some effect, but definitely not such a blinking black background.

Ronald Vargas Sup I’ve been trying some of the rolls on my own. There is no way of not hurting yourself doing these on your own for the first time, everything is way easier when you have an instructor that shows you what your doing wrong, so that you can improve. The worst injuries I’ve had is, sore shoulders and bruised knees. But as they say no pain no gain. Good luck do your best.

Is it even remotely possible for a person to learn Aikido all on his own? What about people that have no access to a dojo? It is a very unhappy moment to sit and watch on the internet, definitely uncool.
@MartialArtsJourney
@MartialArtsJourney 8 жыл бұрын
+paul trainer I am doing my best to provide videos that could help even people with no Dojo to learn. The last video, with tons of details and in-depth explanation is here: bit.ly/1MEeo6Z . And that covers only two basic rolls, from at least 6. But if you are really willing to learn, you can try it! Unfortunately, a lot of Aikido would be very hard to learn through video, but you can try to get some basic knowledge into yourself, and of course, make sure to train carefully. It would be good to check from time to time with someone on your progress. Once more, I'll share, that I am planning to make very detailed videos to help beginners learn, but right now, there doesn't seem to be any other videos like that on KZbin.
