I love these videos that get straight to the point and talk about effective solutions. Don't be limp wristed and use your body weight when punching. Great stuff guys! Keep it up! 🤟🤟

O'Sensei stressed the importance of atemis (strikes) in every technique, in a street fight you need to strike for your opponent to comply.

If you do that and they have trouble breathing, you might want to make a call to 911 (with their phone, then wipe the fingerprints) they can die from a collapsed trachea pretty quickly.

Correct! We are not in high school anymore. There is no such thing as fair fight. I don't go looking for a fight but if one is brought to me I will fight to win and that entails anything to achieve that goal. While not every person who might bring a fight to me intends to kill me, I will fight like my life depended on it. Thanks guys.

Thank you my brother's for teaching me Aikido, these bullies deserve to be busted, yes these are very dangerous movements that could cause serious injuries to a person, jealous guys act smart because they can't get girls and you do, so bullies decide to make a fool of you in a public place, these bullies deserve to be bashed up that they will never ever step in my way.

If you want to end up in jail maybe. Too many people base self-defence on "if someone is trying to kill you" but in reality that's almost never going to be the case. If someone is punching you because they're drunk and you knocked their beer over, blinding them or collapsing their trachea will not be viewed as proportional force by the courts.

Also at the bottom of the sternum, thus the top of the solar plexus, is the xiphoid process, which in people under the age of 40 is dense cartilage, but becomes hard bone after 40; and thus a strike there can actually break off this process causing extra damage. Thus take care when hitting to the solar plexus. Also a hard strike to the solar plexus can also cause damage and possible tears to the diaphragm which can seriously impair or even stop their ability to breathe.

Anyone who says there are no strikes, punches or kicks in aikido needs to do more research on the subject. They need to look at old aikido books by the Japanese masters. There were strikes, punches and kicks in aikido. They were called atemi-waza. They were in old school judo (aka ju jutsu) too. They are well documented in the old texts. Some modern sterilized aikido, judo and ju jutsu (originally a Japanese art, original, correct Japanese spelling!) have quit practicing the strikes, punches and kicks. Thus they are practicing an incomplete, unbalanced art. Side of neck and groin are excellent striking targets in close quarters defense. An open hand slap on the ear, rupturing the ear drum, is also highly effective. Stomach ("belly button") attack is only good against untrained/unprepared opponents, as trained fighters usually tighten and unify their core in an altercation. So they won't be "winded". Nowadays, with the popularity of MMA and "jiu jitsu" training, etc. You have to assume everyone is a "trained fighter". You can't afford to not not to (unless you actually know the opponent's background). Your life may depend on it.

I was attacked years ago by a neighbour who used knuckle dusters and I was lost for few minutes as my brain just shut down I was unable to respond back other then grabing his throat and sqeezing it so hard he couldn't breath at the end and I kept my grip going the whole time while I received more then 50 punches over and over to my temple. Is there a was to train to snap the brain or body from that sock to recover quickly? I did go after him a week later coward wouldn't come out and kept hiding as I was ready to lay down with him and my machete I had bought but now days I am wiser.
@shia_labeouf3 жыл бұрын
"Is there a way to train to snap the brain or body from that sock to recover quickly?" - Yes, practice. Pad up and have someone go at you with blows. You need to feel the disorientation and panic that comes with that. Over time you will get used to it and be able to think more clearly and implement that techniques you know.

Yeah a punch in the liver is a "you are gonna hit the floor" technik because the liver dosent have any pain receptor but with the fair amount of energy in the punch you can causing internal bleeding and the liver put pressure on you'r other organs which is the real cause of you are gonna hit the floor

It is not so easy to find those points like solar plexus when the opponent wears some thick winter clothes . Therefore when it comes to real fight in order to survive the battle I would recommend ... nr one you must hit in his throat 😳this technigue is always effective and absolutely devastating by any means 👀 . Nr two kick in the knee so that the opponent would not be able to follow you . Nr 3 i would destroy also his phone means no back up from his comrades which may be in the near of us during the struggle because otherwise when suddenly ten guys are there to join the fight you may not get your second chance it could mean game over 🤕
@johnbrownett53813 жыл бұрын
Guys, wouldn't a few knife had strikes mix so well in Aikido? Maybe I'm wrong. Is safer on your hands, devastating,deadly IF IF ,your life was in jeopardy,or family,the innocent.

strike against an assault to prevent battery. My issue would be with the use of the word 'retaliate'. Defend would look better on the statement. Also, and importantly, you weren't in a street fight, you were using reasonable force to defend yourself against an aggressor.
