I'm Japanese. Renegades is one of my recent recommendations. His songs are so beautiful and emotional, so try to listen to "Take what you want'' if you don't mind!

I highly recommend checking them out. They're an amazing band with beautiful lyrics & incredible live performances. Also, they're not that big in EU yet but they still came here & performed in Prague for 700 people. It's gonna be a year in two months & I still can't believe I saw them only for 30$ when they're so huge in Asia. Their song We Are is the song that always makes me cry. Actually, almost all of their live performances make me cry but that's just because I'm a softie haha

Their name is a variation: Rock at one in the morning. At first they had little money, and they rented a rehearsal room at night, when the hall was cheap

I remember the front singer being part of the Linkin Park memorial for Chester ( Where different artist where invited to sing some LP songs ) And I had no idea who he was. Only learned about One Ok Rock, from some KZbin reactions.

Another set of incredible live performances by ONE OK ROCK are "Take What You Want" and "We Are" on their 2018 Ambitions Japan Dome tour. Highly recommend! - From what I've heard ever since discovering them was that Taka was incredibly sick during the tour but still gave it his all.

How would you know? I guess you just mean that "live" today means not really live, and you are ok with it. I like live as in, zero band-aids. These guys are cheating badly. Sorry to be the one to let you know that.

@@eriklarson9137 Sorry? I saw them live in a venue with 700 people, same energy as in a big stadium & he sounds even better than on a recording. Taka is one of the best vocalists right now. Maybe it's because he's so good, you can't believe it. Check out their performance from Japan 2024 "Clock Strikes" or their performance of "Wherever you are".

Ok, I kinda always make the mistake of.. because it’s YOU, commenting before song even starts. I’ve NEVER ever heard this man before. Or this song. Was BLOWN AWAY by this man’s voice. I thought it was a country band, playing in Japan!! But it’s a “ Japanese Band”?? Holy Hell Aileen! Forgive my language. I loved it. @@michaelaroskova4793 From what I just saw, in this very first reaction video of them… I’m very literally at a loss of words to describe the pure, raw talent of this band. And “ Taka” is lead singer? His voice is just.. I don’t know, touched by a heavenly entity? But I will be looking into them.

In the 80s (and still putting out music today) there was a Japanese metal band called Loudness. One of the first to hit the US scene. Check out their song Crazy Nights

One Ok Rock -> Broken Heart of Gold is fantastic. This song and the one you are reacting were featured in the last two Rurouni Kenshin films and hit so hard with those films when the credits roll. Would recommend reacting to all of the above!!!

Ed Sheeran helped Taka compose this song for a live action anime movie, "Rouroni Kenshin" and even toured with him in Japan! I highly recommend you react to the performances with an orchestra, like "I Was King" and "Stand Out Fit In".

They've been around since 2005. If you want the kind of music that should be, you can look up the raw concert footages from their world tour on YT. No editing there since theyre taken from fans phone, they still top it/sound better than recording. The official live videos uploaded on their channel is like promotional to their live concert DVD & Japan is known to have edited them like a movie.
