I’m crying in front of PC because I couldn't get their ticket and seeing them live is my dream since I found them few years ago. They are really once in a life time band. I missed Queen, Linkin Park, but we have them. I'll never give up until I could see them live someday. Taka once said like "Band like us can't shine forever so we live it to the fullest" I love them to death.

no it is not different. I saw them live in a small 800 people venue and the energy was the exact same. They were just as enthusiastic in front of a small crowd as in front of a stadium.

And concerts in Japan have bigger budgets than in other countries, with elaborate stage sets and lighting. Of course, the band will perform with the same passion no matter the country or venue.

I was there at Tokyo Dome. It was my first concert ever after coronavirus, I waited 1247 days for this concert and I remember I cried almost every single song throughout this show. The power of music is very strong, it saved me and lots of people from the severed situation coronavirus brought to us. Especially when Renegades was born in such a sad era I felt being saved and I somehow became more brave to face anything in front of me. This concert was my turning point, 2023 is my turning point of life and I couldn't thank ONE OK ROCK more.

Thank you for everything!!! John Reeves finally made his dream come true!!! He kept saying he wanted to go to an OOR concert for a year. He is also a musician and a big fan of OOR and recognizes their talent. He loves Taka, Ryota, Tomoya, and Toru, and says Taka's voice is his favorite rock vocalist in the world, and OOR is a band that came to earth to play music!! Don't be sad. You will see them when they will come back in your country. I'm french and I saw them in Paris at the Elysée Montmartre a VERY small concert hall and it was the best concert of my life. The crowd was singing so loud and with passion it was magic. Even better than a big dome. They were so close and so emotional.

Don’t be sorry!😊 I cried a lot as well. Their performance is great during their tour ! But I suggested that you’d like to go to their concert in your country first. Because Taka and other members speak in English but their concert in Japan, they speak Japanese only.Many songs are English lyrics though.❤

I drove 1200km last year to Italy just for them and it was amazing! Beautiful performance, absolutely no mistakes from Taka's vocals and I was crying at one point. Incredible feeling! Next time they come to Europe I will be there to for sure!

In Japan, the live shows are often held in large venues, which makes it difficult in terms of acoustics, etc. And depending on the seats, they may look very small. In contrast, in the West, Taka tries to meet his fans in small venues. Japanese fans envy that! So don't be too sad! The day will come when you will be able to hear Taka's voice live!😉 I am glad you like OOR!

Taka isn't trying to meet people nearby, but because overseas they can't attract the same number of spectators as they does in Japan. If they were as popular overseas as they are in Japan, they would probably hold concerts in big domes like they do in Japan. However, overseas audiences are lucky to be able to see them in a small venue. In Japan, the distance to the band is far, but the budget is big and the sets and lighting are large and luxurious. And in Japan, cell phone recording is prohibited, so the audience is focused on the performance, which makes Japanese concerts special. There are good points to both Japan and overseas live performances.

I went to two concerts of them in Thailand, the avenues were not as big BUT the experience was no different. The band gave it their all every damn time and it were the best damn nights I promise you. So you can go to their show when they come near you.

They've said before, that the albums are just a teaser. Teasers for concerts. And it is so true. With One Ok Rock concerts, you arnt going to see a 'wonderful or amazing performance'. You go, to be part of the experience, part of the concert. It is an experience that is out of this world. While I prefer their older japanese music over the newer english stuff, I still have not found another artist I love more since I came accross them when they released Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer in 2005.

Ok been watching your OOR reactions and i agree…I just agree with everything you’ve said….I have not felt like this about an alt rock band other than Linkin Park…(and Evanescence-I still listen to both all the time) Taka immediately reminded me of Chester..the vocals..the raw emotion…I have been missing this sound so much its the music of my youth and my soul… I am SO thankful I found them bc I really really needed this in my life…something to make me feel alive again and help me process some trauma and just an emotional release. I’m so thankful I found them. 🥹

During the Fukushima earthquake in Japan in 3.11, 2011, their "Wherever You Are" was played dozens of times every day on TV, and the whole of Japan prayed for the safety of the victims. The song "Renegades" was in the final scene and end credits of a movie called Rurouni Kenshin: The Final. It was the last film in the Rurouni Kenshin movie series, based on the manga. Taka / OOR wrote the song in collaboration with Ed Sheeran.
