Mowie is the queen of vocal breaks, and the amazing part is, she fills her songs with growls, squeaks, cries and whistles and never looses pitch. What cemented her star power to me, was her amazing solitary performances in her house during the pandemic. Her covers of "Fly Like a Bird" and Defying Gravity", among others, are legendary.

I agree with you, Aileen. Morissette makes it look easy, but it is actually hard to do a performance like this, it takes great talent and years of practice to reach a level like this. Well, she has an inborn talent for singing, naturally gifted with a beautiful voice, and she was already singing in the karaoke machine at the age of 3, and already participating in televised singing competitions at the age of 9. That speaks volumes in itself. We see her today in her prime as one of the best vocalists in this generation, what many don't see is the many years of her developing her talent, enhancing her skills, improving her techniques, evolving into a professional artist that she is now. I like how you were moved by this performance, that's the "Mori effect" many of us have experienced. You definitely has to continue discovering her and her music. One thing is certain, and you said it, she is an all-around nice person. She remains humble, bubbly, down-to-earth person, beautiful inside and out, with that enormous talent that she has. 🥰
