True. Best ASUS mouse so far, hands down. The second is the ROG Keris (wired). That's also nice stuff. Third would be the M4 Air, which is also budget at the same time, but less production quality compared to the first two.

I have the optical switches from the gladius3 being shipped atm to put into my keris. The rog swtiches are alright. They're rebranded Kailh blacks. I actually prefer the stiffer click of the Kailh red switches because the spring bounces back harder and it's easier to rapidfire. I think it might have been technical issues with saving weight by not adding hotswappable adapters or being opitical switch ready that they didnt include the gladius3 switches in this mouse. Maybe the rog ones have better lifespan too so they used that since you can't replace them despite them being both rated for 80m

Yes, it definitely is (reviewed it for 1,5 weeks with NX Red switches). Has a premium vibe, borrowing from the DIY market, really pleasant out of the box. The only down sides imo are the keycaps (okay, but eh, especially for the price) and the software. Both can be circumvented, and otherwise it's a really impressive consumer board. They could include a decent keycap puller tho, that's abysmal.

@@woro. its true but you gotta remember that at the time the superlight released on December 3rd, 2020 it was the first before many, there werent many competitve options back then, not to mention how safe the shape is and how reliable it was. The real only good options back then was between GProX, UL2, Air 58, Viper Ult, Viper Mini, XM1. Half to 3/4ths were wired at the time. You can pretty easily get a GProX now (why) for way cheaper on ebay or when it goes on sale for like 100-110$

Fair. But asus mice are often on sale + these mice are also more featurepacked than any other mice this light. I would guess some people want rgb and bluetooth as well. Also the amount of marketing that comes with the aim lab collab(im sure there will be ads in aim lab for it) cannot be understated
@woro.

@@lyre5250 it released in 2020 and people still buy it, and yes it might be 110$ on sale but its usually 150 and the asus mouse isnt even released yet, im sure they're going to have sales like every other tech company lol, i dont understand why you're saying no one would buy it when people still buy the superlight
@lyre5250
@lyre5250 Жыл бұрын
@@woro. I dont doubt that people would buy it, but I doubt that at their price point and the established competition at a similar/lower price point that their mouse is worth the 150$ theyre asking for, ofc worth is subjective but with the current market and mouse that punch at a similar weight spec-wise that cost less, unless you really like asus mice, the shape, or collect mice, it seems far reaching. Which is what i was insinuating with my first comment, not if it will sell, people will buy anything.

So I not to criticize you but two grams weight difference is not a factor I use both of the razor mice and if you're talking about just Raw competitive potential I mean there's a reason why the Viper and the DeathAdder have been around for so long and then when you actually get down into the actual technology behind their Hyper Speed Wireless and it's actual real world performance being like literally the best in the entire world in terms of latency and consistency in the actual polling report rate as well as offering 4K Wireless with the dongle I mean it didn't it's there also zero debounce click I mean it's a supreme sensor it's I mean there is nothing better if you're just looking for a raw real competitive Mouse and there's a reason why they don't have the RGB and I mean it really is RGB necessary on a mouse it's often in your hand anyway I mean I like lights as much as the next man but I otherwise great review though
@ZXTech
@ZXTech Жыл бұрын
Man u didn’t use a single comma or full stop lol. Also its like 5 grams difference since the v2 pro is more like 58 grams, while the asus is 54. Anyway i was highlighting the impressive engineering by doing that weight comparison, its not that 2 grams are really important

If this mouse is really priced at $150, this will only be bought by reviewers and only a hand full of people. No one would buy this mouse over V2 Pro/DAV3, GproX Superlight, or any other high end gaming mouse. You can buy the best mouse on the market in terms of specs and ergonomics in the Dav3 or buy a extremely reliable mouse that’s light and still going strong in the Superlight. I just don’t see why anyone would buy this unless they are looking for a small “top of the line” mouse to fit there grip style. Have you tried the Bluetooth yet? Because you can also just go for another mouse which comes with the Bluetooth Dongle which is always faster than regular Bluetooth. They need to change the pricing to something like $120 or even $100 and I’ll say it will sell extremely well at those price points and putting a lot of competition on other companies.

The only problem with any mouse or keyboard from Asus is that you have to install Armory Crate to configure them. Most likely you can reformat your PC after that or try to uninstall it with a dozen uninstallers. Seriously, this software is known for being very buggy and filled with bloatware. Why does nobody mention that in their reviews?
@ZXTech
@ZXTech Жыл бұрын
I havent faced any issues with armory crate yet, but I didnt know the stigma against it. Ill look into it
@lunayconsuela
@lunayconsuela Жыл бұрын
@@ZXTech Well, Reddit, the Asus forums and KZbin are full of complaints about Armory Crate. If you say you haven't faced any issues that implies you used it. I wouldn't mind seeing you use it in the review then, preferably on your main PC. Otherwise I can hardly believe any reviewer recommending a mouse he hasn't used. And no, I'm not pointing directly at you, others have started announcing these new other peripherals as well but I haven't seen anyone that can prove he's running the software. While Asus does make amazing hardware and I keep using their mainboards and graphics cards (after having tried other brands) and Asus does have very good support they strangely hardly offer any support for Armory Crate. The software is not only for your peripherals but also for your mainboard, video card, overclocking, RGB, etc ... Like the same type of software from other mainboard/laptop vendors it's really so bloated and problematic few people use it. It's nothing like Razer Synapse or Logitech G-Hub which people also complain about but that are actually useable and getting better all the time. Not so with this software, Armory Crate gives so much problems it often leads to reinstalling Windows. The new mouse and keyboard from Asus look both very interesting indeed and I'd buy them in a hartbeat but what's the point if you can't use them due to not being able to configurate them with the software that is needed. Expensive paperweights.
