It exist a website named playmaster.gg which allows you to practice with more effort your tracking routine( basically when you start a server and go into the warmup zone the bots starts running at you) but first like Mr Voo said practice your flicky aim then in the same routine you should add a track aim

100% man. There are so many factors to performing well. You want to make sure you've had enough sleep, you're not hungry, you're not thirsty, you're not too cold, you're not too hot, you haven't been playing for too long in a session, and that you're focused. The amount of times that I underperform in our 3rd or 2nd game because I'm starving and I haven't eaten anything yet is stupid.

Great vid! Its very precise, and scientific based - and yes, a one-stop vid! One hugely important detail that you fail to mention when talking DPI and Sensitivity in CS:GO: People often tend to forget the importance of setting "Raw Input" to "on" - this way your Windows Sensitivity and possible acceleration is ignored, and thus you can compare Absolute sensitivity between computers only base on DPI and in-game sensitivity. The console command is "m_rawinput "
@AG-ld6rv
@AG-ld6rv 8 ай бұрын
For sensitivity, the way I like to explain it to someone new is you want it to be at least fast enough to do a 180 comfortably as you sometimes need to do one of those quickly. At the same time, you definitely want it to be low enough where your crosshair isn't jiggling around crazily while you move it somewhere and hold it there as that indicates a lack of control, resulting in inaccuracy. You want it low enough for precise control. That max sensitivity will depend on how steady someone's hand is. For example, I think Hiko uses straight up tiny wrist aim for everything, but if you watch his play, he has supreme control despite the high sensitivity and lack of arm aim. It will come down to personal abilities with the hand and some practice, but if you are noticing a chronic lack of control, consider lowering your sensitivity. You'll get used to a new sensitivity faster than you'd think. Like within a day or two. Your mind somehow understands. When it comes to gear, let me be clear that there is no need for stuff like US$150 gaming mice. Back in the days of CS 1.6, the craziest professionals used simple Microsoft mice and still did extremely well. Just get a mouse with a good design for your hand that you enjoy, that is durable, that isn't overpriced (meaning NOT US$150 come on), is wireless if you want that, has a button configuration you desire, has reasonable DPI settings (like 200-2000 as options and an adjuster. I like that as some single player games need to adjust to a lower DPI as their sensitivity setting is far too fast on the lowest setting @ higher DPI), and maybe with decent polling (~500-1000). This stuff where people have 15k DPI and 5k polling does not add anything. Trust me. It's just marketing. And as with all marketing, pros who stream are cool, so they will do things like change mice and put it in their title, likely sponsored to do so to drive emotional sales as people see that and think the equipment made the pro. No, they'd still be insanely good with a 60 hz monitor and a US$50 mouse and 80 FPS. (Do note that hz on a monitor and FPS does actually help to a point just like mice, but when you start getting into 500 hz at 700 fps territory, come on... it is a as useless as 15k dpi and 5k polling.). The funny thing about your advice of how to peek is that, when an opponent just charges in holding forward and strafe past an angle I'm holding, it makes my brain malfunction and I often miss the easy shot and then they flick 1 tap me. I have A LOT of experience against people peeking in a logical fashion. I've put aside the excuse though. When they kill me, I messed up, and I need to get to where I recognize these types of peeks and neutralize them effectively. I had a tendency to think of them as dumb noobs and shift blame, but if I can't prove a play was bad by beating it, I need to come up with the right answer to the problem. I'm not sure what the optimal play is tbh. Sometimes, I start holding wider peeks so I can tap them as they peek out (further from the corner than I used to hold). Other times, I stay hidden, and when they make noise, I try to prefire them off sound combined with periodic checks to look for people walking up [or just being laser focused for a person to suddenly peek me that did walk up]. Sometimes, I'll be holding a tight angle as some in the match are peeking that way, and they run by. In that situation I wonder what is optimal (likely depends on how people are playing and the position + map + knowledge of where everyone is): 1.) No peek. Use utility and fall back, or just fall back either running or walking. 2.) Peek out as fast as possible, attempting to prefire where they will be since you saw their trajectory and hear them. (Though sometimes you are peeking into a rush. If you hear many, this might be a bad idea. If they tend to go for trade kills, perhaps reconsider this one. Other times, they instantly 1 tap every time I do that. I dunno how. Maybe, I was too slow? If they know you will do this, it can be quite easy for them to pop you.) 3.) Use some utility and then peek off it. 4.) Wait a moment then dry peek in an attempt to throw them off, securing the frag. They might be totally focused on an immediate peek then disengage and continue moving at which point you come out like a boss. In some cases, they are too close and fast to consider anything with utility, and in other cases, you have nowhere to fall back to.

I want to add a little something to this. (Though I'm awfully late), most aim video's primarily focus on riflers. While your aimtraining is definitely going to translate to awps, your warmup isn't necessarily going to do just that. I always feel like I need a seperate warmup for awping (which is what I primarily do), specifically to get the flicks down. The best method to warm up your awp is to go into that same map (aimbotz from ulletical), turn the bot count down to 1. Reset your aim between shots and just adjust your aim as the bot spawns, scope and flick to the bot. You can make the bot move too, though the movement in the aimbotz map is very... "unnatural" imo. I found that it's a more intensive training than just flicking to a random bot every time when there's 12 of them. So there you go, my two cents. Have fun lads!

@@vooCSGO Thank you for the reply! Personally the reason I mentioned furious here is that the way he determined his ideal sensitivity 100% matches the way I went for mine, I've always calibrated my sens to 180s and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the routines mentioned in your video, I think the video you made is an amazing all-rounder in all regards. I felt like for the people out there that calibrate their sens the same way as in his routine just might give more returns (and may be more relatable?), at the end of the day it's all down to consistency training though and I can't stress enough how important it is that you made this video, it will help so many people in the community develop their gamesense over the raw aiming ability and that's what matters the most in my eyes.

as far as sensitivity is concerned, find a sensitivity at which you can easily make a 180 degree turn without straining yourself, since you need to avoid flashbangs, that's most you need, anything higher than that means less precision in your fine-tuned aiming, especially at long range this is crucial.

To start I'm gonna say this is a great video! Definitely worth the watch, especially for newer/not that great players. However, i must say that if you're not feeling these tips work for you its totally fine! There is literally nothing to worry about, maybe you're just built differently. Personally, i was supreme at one time, stopped playing and now restarted. I had gn1 when i came back (played with silver friends) and in 2months im MGE rn. Point is, i always played with 400CPI & 10 sensitivity. ALWAYS! I got a good performance as a player, played in amateur tournaments and won skins as prizes. played in 1v1s and again won quite a lot back in the day. Now, when i came back, everyone told me to "lower your sens lower your sens" and i did and i played like a total silver. It was like i had never played before. What I'm trying to say is that the sensitivity tips, while can be important to the majority, can also be omitted very easily without any problems. Also, HAIX's aim practice is also better suited for me, fast and precise made me improve again at a faster rate than conventional training methods. Just practice , learn movement & crosshair placement and in time your aim/muscle memory will improve nonetheless. Apart from this, I started redoing all the other tips Voo gave us and i can say they're perfect in my opinion. Small Edit: I was an awper and high sens allowed me to make some insane fucking shots in global level. PPL always asked how i did those and i just told them i played with 10 sens. I'm playing more ak right now and even though it was harder with higher sens its doable for sure. And here comes another tip that Voo actually mentions in his videos: While playing lower ranks & trying to rank up faster, go for more ak plays instead of awp ones, it gives you more space to work around with the team and doesnt allow 1v5 situations to happen that often.

I had to teach myself to control for the recoil gradually rather than use jerky mouse movement. I also never realized just how far you need to pull down if the enemy is a long way away. Adjusting your crosshair before you start shooting rather than reflexively shooting as soon as you see someone and then try to correct. If you're in lower ranks your opponent is probably not going to kill you that fast so it's fine to be deliberate about aim.

What no one ever have mentioned is work/study situation vs gaming. For example, I work on 6k displays at the office and home office. Play on HD high refresh screen. Transforming muscle memory from one to an other setup.

Better crosshair placement means you can play with a lower sensitivity which means better fine tune movements with the crosshair

I really believe going from a small mousepad (about 25 x 25 cm) to a large one (about 50 x 50 cm) and lowering my sensitivity (low sensitivity doesn't work well on a small mousepad because how would it) improved my aim significantly. Highly recommend for anyone playing competitive FPS games.

Yeah so i'm in a problem like this. I played almost a year on a really small mousepad and got used to play like 2000+ dpi and 1.7 sens on cs. When i got a bigger mousepad and changed to 800 dpi i can't barely move the mouse, i'm absolutely struggling A LOT to shoot because my arm hurts, i'm not used to swing the arm so i'm really unconfourtable right now. See people using 400 dpi to me looks like they play cs in a truck wheel

I used to be stuck in silver elite on my main. I decided to do 100 of tap kills, spay kills, speay transfers, flicks, sniper flicks in aimbots and than 50 kills in hs only servers every day. I also tried to strafe, popflash, think about positioning, predict enemy plays... I than opened a new account and the first rank I got was GNM. Got to DMG the next month. I took a break for one week and deranked to MG1 in 3 games :(

If anyone is interested in the depth of aiming and the science behind it, I highly recommend the FPSAimTrainer subreddit. You will face some unusual takes but don't be afraid, most are well backed up and developed by outstanding aimers . First of all, csgo is not an aim-heavy game. CS:GO players (including myself at first) are a bit offended by this, because we think all the gods of the game have outstanding aim. The truth is that the majority of your "aim" in this game simply comes from crosshair placement and holding angles. Of course, good aim helps, but good crosshair placement and gamesense always triumphs. This is also why most players and most pros have insanely low sensitivity compared to other games. Low sens lets you have much more "rough" microcorrections, thus you can get away with more errors if your aim is mediocre. Secondly, muscle memory is a meme. Of course, for beginner players it helps if you dont change your sens often, but the idea that flicking in a video game somehow is memorized in your arm muscles is a joke. Any decent aimer can adapt to a new sens very very quickly. Right now, there are scientific researches going on about a new way of training aim that includes a sensitivity randomizer. Because the point is, when you train aim, you train your hand-eye coordination in your brain, not muscle memory. Practicing different sensitivities will give your brain more stimulus and the response is quicker progress.

Hm, I think you missed the opportunity to talk about getting to know your reaction time and crosshair placement in defensive positions, or in other words, when you know someone is going to appear in your shot but you have to find the right spot accounting for movement speed and your reaction time. You don't always hug the edges with your crosshair, sometimes you lead with it.

That is just an amazing amazing all-rounder video And yes most people don't talk about tracking aim and I liked the fact that you emphasized on it.....I myself struggle with tracking and now,I am practicing just tracking for about 10 minutes daily Another major thing I struggle with is awpers.....I totally understand the pre-aims you talked about in the starting of the video but mostly I am scared to do that coz what if an awper is posted at one of the angles,for example at goose on dust 2.....so if my pre-aim is off by even a few pixels it would be a very easy kill for the awper and most likely I will die And even I flash the awper and make him bait his shot....then what? If I wide swing before he repeeks,then I might die from another angle by a rifler which is what happens to me most of the times and then I get confused to focus on the awper or the rifler at another angle which ultimately resultes in getting me sandwiched and dying So if you or anyone could please help me with this,I would really appreciate it :D

Of course I’m 2 years late, but: You’re not alone. Your team can come from somewhere else and take care of the other player. You can throw smokes so you are only facing that one enemy. You can throw a flash that blinds the whole side. You could molly goose. If you’re really in that 1v2 scenario, awp goose, other player somewhere on site, and you on short without the bomb - chances are you will lose anyway. It’s just a difficult situation.

I often wonder wheter or not to use my wrist or my arm for crosshair placement. When i use my wrist and bend it to track a corner, adjusting to a new corner at different elevation is fucked up coz my mouse isnt aligned vertically. So i end up aiming with the arm and adjusting with the wrist

Aim trainers are great for accelerating the aim training progress dramatically. They won't replace training in-game (bc mechanics are important, esp in CS), but they are incredible at teaching the aim skill of mouse control. I was silver prior to aim training (got to SEM to be precise), and aim training in Kovaaks worked wonders for me as I quickly regained the aim I lost after two months or so of not playing CS.
