or ofc: teamwork, timing & gamesense. most maps are complex enough that neither team can cover everything through the round: there's usually a hole at some point where you can slip behind & backstab (with or without knives) ofc it helps if yr team's slow-playing... so they don't just rush, die & leave you stranded. i doubt, in that clip where the fella got the knife kill above sandwich, that his team though he baited them - after all he was probably supposed to be lurking into window & cutting off rotates etc.

Love the edits every time showing what if's. As for the commentary while it's on-point there needs to be more said on SMGs and flanking. This video's great for discussing head-on approaches but the best strat will always be to shoot them in the back or sides, including by jumping around getting there if they're underneath. Usually a 5 team will have 1 awp, meaning only one site will be guarded by it and there's always a path to leak into the other way. If they have 2 or more AWPs then it's definitely a problem when lacking utils but that's it. Most games will have 1 and the best approach is avoidance or bombardment.

I've been trying to get back into CS with some friends of mine and we've found it impossible to rank up in standard MM. We've won 12 games in a row with no rank up. I won 13 in a row, but only ranked up to Silver Elite, after a total run of 17-1-2 or something like that. Then I lost 3 out of the next 10 and deranked lol. We got faceit and it's been such a weird adjustment. It's refreshing to take a break from the NA silver games where you're going against 1 or 2 alt/smurfs from GE, 1 or 2 faceit level 8-10s, and 1 dedicated member of the other team who will bottom frag, but be constantly spamming BM at your team. None of these enemies will coordinate at all. In fact, they'll go out of their way to peak 1 at a time, baiting eachother, yet still getting insane 1 tap prefires, and wallbangs to kill you, However, now in Faceit, raw aim wise, we were surprised to find that our entire 5 man (minus 1 lol) is better than most level 6s we've played with. We also noticed we aren't getting ferrari peak meme 1 tapped. However, we haven't been on a massive streak of wins either. While the opponents aim isn't always so impressive, their positioning and utility is. We're being forced to now actually practice our coordinated takes and nades in order to win these games. God forbid when we've played with any amount of Randys, who disregard the fact that we had like, 4 matches played, and that we were actually getting kills, but were still freaking out and being insanely toxic just for not automatically having a smoke ready to put out a molly, or not putting a flashbang right where they want it.
@lulalelilo
@lulalelilo 2 жыл бұрын
@@lookaquarter this is actually weird, it takes me 3/4 wins streak to rank up, usually. I'm MGE, but 1) i'm a former 1.6 pro 2) I play casually and chill so I don't really care about ranking up in MM. Just wanted to rankup to MGE so i could play with some friends higher rankked and it took me 3 or 4 wins streak each to get a new rank each time. Account was gold nova 1, went GN2 in 3 wins, GN3 in 4 wins streak, GN4 after 2 loss and 5 wins, mg1 after 5 wins and 1 loss, mg2 after 5 wins 1 loss also, MGE after 4 wins 1 loss... Though, if you're stuck in silver elite, then you're probably bad. That's not meant to be an offense. In gn1 and gn2 i've been matched with silvers, and oh god, they're lacking about almost everything : game reading, decision making, timings, map movement, positionning, predictions, etc. Sure, you probably play better because there is coordination and communication, sure you find the game more easy because there is less cheaters - high chance the ferrari 1tapping is a wallhacking guy ;) - but at the end of the day if you're in silver its probably because you lack of everything aforementioned. Don't lose hope, though : it took me a bit less than 5 years, playing everyday, to reach the pro level back in the 1.6 days

This kind of thing is really good and even if you only pull off a kill like this once a half it will unsettle the awper. He will now take less battles and possibly even miss more.

All these situations rely on more than one player. Despite the jiggle on cadian you sort of forgot to mention the concept of jiggling which is common at a higher level, also in 1on1 situations either to gain info, push awps off spot or set off their timing. I don't think the concept is very difficult to comprehend nor execute with a bit of practice and could elevate a lot of players level against awpers. Other than that great vid :)

AWP is still the easiest most dominant weapon because of how they gave it meaningless or downright double edged nerfs Like nerfing the speed just makes it more accurate while moving because you don't reach a speed that affects it in any meaningful way, specially if you're just crouching while moving All while a lot of weapons fall down into actual meme categories because of how downright awful their stats are

At 3:00 you said that you can peek into the angle as the awper is on cooldown but then you then say at 4:38 that delaying an extra half second can make awper doubt and go wide I'm a little confused about what to do then, since both timings of a peek can work. What is the difference between peeking late and going in one by one? I'm not sure what Ungbomo's team did wrong with this in mind - they either peeked early and stood at the angle to get shot, or they peeked late but the awper didn't doubt and they walked into his crosshair. What do I take away from this particular bit of the video? It did certainly help to understand the details of being off-axis when peeking and using utility. I don't think the first five minutes are useful without the context at the 10 minute mark though.

So, to shorten it: Snipers have limited DPS, so you have to take advantage of that by neutralizing during cooldown, raiding as multiple players, or using the awper's cover time to take an advantageous position out of sight and then making his task more difficult. Keep in mind that a good sniper will know when to retreat, so don't expect them to stick around

Played against annoying awpers recently on mirage. They would push with 2-3 awps on B. After the game leetify showed that one of their players had 3.88° crosshair placement (across 19frags). Which seems to be far better than even the best top 30 players get on average and far beyond what I ever saw in my rank (lowest is maybe 8 or 9). So is that something down to awping, like no flicks or someone cheating at 2am in faceit?

it would be very late to response, but my crosshair placement is like that. I got 6,5 degree average and I even hit 3 degrees sometimes. I checked it from leetify also.

at 1:40 i don't think he doesn't try to fight or kill, he is buying time for his teamates on A and pinning the rotate, yes his fake wasn't good because he overcomited some but overall i think it's a great idea just baddly executed
@vooCSGO
@vooCSGO 3 жыл бұрын
It's definitely possible that's what he was thinking, but the execution is so far from reasonable that it's hard to really attribute it to that necessarily. In this type of scenario either the rifler is CT in which case he (ungbomo) dies (and the rotate is even faster because they instantly know it's a fake), or the rifler is site in which case the rotate being delayed is almost fully irrelevant since the A site hit will have more or less played out win or lose by the time a rotate would get there.

I dont know why but ever since i started player i've always been shitting on awpers when i got smg in hand, i guess that extra mobility they provide makes it a little bit easier to peek in ways that awpers wont be getting ez shots

I remember on cobblestone I knew there was an awper holding an angle so I jumped across and baited him to shoot then I instantly got into the angle and got him when he repeaked. He was very mad about it.

Nice Video! But i still feel like the Awp's downtime should be slightly increased, its just too powerfull if u can just repeek 1 sec after you miss a shot. U should get punished more for missing with an awp.

Voo, i appreciate a lot of the tips on this video, but the one that starts at around 8:30 about not hesitating and going for the trade is not consistent at all, because of quickscopes, no-scopes and all sorts of movement tricks to make you miss shots until he is able to shoot again. An awper can no-scope surprisingly quickly after taking the first shot, and since it's close range, it's fairly accurate. You can see that in pro matches all day. And quickscopes are also very quick, taking 1s for them to shoot again, if you don't quickswitch, again this can be seen in pro matches, awp kills one, someone quickly goes to trade, hits 3 shots only to get quickscoped, if you're not with an AK chances are that you'll just do damage, but die. You have 1 second to: React to the fact the the awp killed someone, which if you're against good awpers, they won't be one dimensional and will often catch someone when you're busy giving info or lining utility or giving cover to flanks and whatnot, run to trade and kill him. This is a surprisingly short time. Also, the examples you gave about that are really awkward the awp at 8:36 just stares at the wall before repeeking, realistically he would either go hug the wall to force a hard clear for the T and give him some time, or he will try to retreat while someone is giving cover, or would peek with their weapon facing the angle instead of just making the crosshair in an awkward position to flick. The one at 9:17 is also weird because the position does not make sense to be in without any cover, what you'll see is someone holding close to the bombsite wall to retreat, and he also sticks around in the angle, when if he knows he is pinned he would hug the wall to force a hard clear and jump around to make you miss. And in all the examples the trade is extremely close, as if he is expecting the awper to be there to kill someone. Realistically and against more experience awpers, you would not be able to be that ready for an agressive position. And even if you're fast you peek and get quicksoped or no-scoped, this kinds of trades are a lot more 50/50 than what it appears.
