I hated playing ww2, but that game produced some of the greatest cod events of all time. I think it was Birmingham that had an absurd amount of maps across different series that were razor close. So many round 11’s, hard points ending within a few points, and some intense ctf matches, and map 5’s galore to go with it. Would be hard to pull them out of my head without looking at a list, but I gotta imagine that was a top 3 event all time.

AW was actually a really good game competitively. The maps and movement just flowed so well. It was never boring to watch since it was pretty much action packed at every second. Sucks that everyone just hopped on the hate wagon after ghosts was released... (which was also a good game) everyone just hated change

AW was a good game competitively sure but it wasn't a good game. the loot box system was one of the biggest pieces of garbage ever added to a COD game that genuinely led to unfair matches because some players were willing to shell out crazy money to get more powerful variants of weapons while others didn't. with a tweaked exo-movement similar to BO3 and no scam supply drop system, it would have been one of the better CODs in the series
