このとき幸運にも切符が手に入り会場で聞く事が出来ました．小林さんの音は他の出場者とは圧倒的に違っていました．拍手も一番ながくあったようにおもいます。次の第三ステージではプレリュード２４曲を見事に演奏して圧巻でした．このままで優勝だなと思いました．最期のコンチェルトの評価が別れたように思いますが、私の評価は優勝者を越えております．

彼女の大人になってからの演奏は初めてきちんと聴きましたが、ほんとに壮大なスケール感、安定したテクニック、気負いすぎない余裕と気品を感じ、その響きに感動しました、ファイナルでは、さらにもう一段ギアをあげて観客を感動させられればかなりいい結果が待っていそうな予感、ほんと、永久保存版です、最後まで圧巻の演奏でした！！

So glad you didn't give up and decided to come back, Aimi. Your signature delicate touch and uncanny connection to the music are ever so present. But the novelty you have brought to the competition this year is depth and maturity of your interpretation. Your techniques and precision have also improved significantly. So have your confidence, determination and control. I was blown away by your Andante spianato and Polonaise. The audience was also in awe, it seems. Six years ago, we witnessed your raw, almost untamed talent and innate 'feel' for Chopin's music. This year, it appears that you have refined that raw talent to produce something magical that cannot be described through words. Your conversation with Chopin and the audience is coherent, graceful and profound. I wish you the very best and hope to see you in the final where you claim your well-deserved trophy!

I am very impressed with her. She definitely deserves a spot in the final if she hits the sonata/preludes. But there’re several others who are at her highlevel. Sorita, Mun, Chang and a few other wild cards.

@@annettefallon1652 My personal favourites for top spots are Andrzej, Kyohei, and Aimi. Mr Mun's playing is pleasant but I found his tempo a little unstable. Mr Chang's playing is very suited for Lizst, but a little too loud for my taste when it comes to Chopin :-) But you are right, there are incredible talents this year!

Her first note totally sink into the hall that changed atmosphere. I’m surprised how she changed her style and tone since the last competition. She was devoted to the music which shows such a storing concentration to the music . She never looked away from the keys which unusual for nowadays among performers. I thought it’s more like Horowitz - not showing any unnecessary emotions or feelings . I witnessed great artist is born .

私は聞き専のピアノ好きです。特にショパンが好きで毎日のようにコルトー、フランソワ、ホロビッツなどと共にポリーニ以降のコンクール覇者のピアノを聞いています。1次、2次予選の小林さんのピアノを聞くと、巨匠達に届きそうな音質をもっているのではないかと思うくらい素敵だと思います。あくまでもピアノ好きの素人の意見ですが、前回のコンクールのときとはレベルが違う気がします。上手だったり早く弾けたりするコンテストは当然沢山いますが、小林さんのようなショパンの音質が私はとても好きです。前回より余裕があって集中できているところも良いです。小林さんの協奏曲も是非聞きたいです。

I thought her Andante spianato and Polonaise was absolutely brilliant, probably one of the best in the last 20 years of the Chopin competition. There were certain moments whilst she was playing it almost felt like listening to it for the first time again. Almost shed a tear and felt goosebumps because the sound was so amazing.

When I started listening to the first song "Polonaise-Fantasia", I was worried about how the judges and the audience would receive it, but after hearing the performance after that, I was surprised to hear Misuzu Kaneko's poem "I can't make a sound beautiful, but I don't know how many songs that ringing bell is. The bell, the little bird, and I, everyone is different, everyone is good. " I felt once again that it was the free sensibilities that were not bound by stereotypes that could open up a new horizon for Chopin. I think she've played her Chopin enough, but I hope you'll stay in the final stage and attract the world's audience even more!
