Some years it feels like everything just breaks down. We run a pretty high preventive maintenance program. And we still have break downs. Kelly just take it day by day.

Matt, when you drop cotton on the ground instead of bagging it or calling the gin to come pick it up open the door on one of the end units with the air going up the shoot hand load it in the picker, just a tip for next year

I think that bushhog is trying to tell you it's finished. For a low tech piece of equipment it sure is a lot of trouble. As you know better tan anyone. I am guessing you would prefer a bushhog over a rotary stalk cutter. Hoping your luck improved. Looking forward to this years Cmas display!

H&R sells land pride bush hogs at a great price never had a problem with ours. It’s a 20 ft bat wing

Matt, sometimes when you upgrade equipment, it brings bugs you have to work out. All the parts and service calls will make the machine work better next year. Cotton looks great, keep on running and you will finish soon. May GOD bless your family with better health as he has blessed you this year with good crops. Keep the faith all goes well.

I can understand your temper story Matt. Have had some serious meltdowns when a stupid piece of equipment won't run right. I was talking to my son in law about running a Harobed. Ie balewagon. We concluded that if you don't swear when you start running one you will by the time you quit. Praying for your family that things will go well for you.

I run my kbh bale spear with a John Deere 8235r and it handles bales fine

Matt, about your temper. Whoever stated that. They have never been around equipment. Life love mechanic here. From Heavy Equipment to farm, to over the road, to cars. You name I worked on it. Most times I am calm cool and collective like yourself. If you are around me when things do go wrong. I do my best to not blow a gasket. Yet, sometimes it blows anyway. On top of that. Why would someone record themselves blowing a gasket? I commend you on all your filming. Yes you show when things mess up. Just not the argument that is in the middle. That is to me, a natural thing to do. Always like your videos and always will. Great job Sir. Kelly, as he was dumping that steamy load into the spreader. Not freaking only could I smell it, yet also taste it. Done that job before and it was an open cab loader. Next day I refused to load the spreader and boss said I was fired. I told him that is going to look real funny when I tell unemployment office the reason. He said it ain't that bad. SOOOOOO, tell ya what. You load and I spread a few loads and then let's have this talk again. His was fairly fresh. Well after two loads he radioed me to find something else to do when I was empty. Two hours later he shows up with a used cab loader tractor and said. Bud, I am sorry about that. We laughed and drank a beer.

Hey Matt is there a way you can open a door on the last head and feed the lose cotton in so it feeds up to the accumulator? Im not a cotton farmer but ive seen another farmer do it on youtube when he had issues baling cotton.

You need to find a cx20 John Deere mower not a hx20 the cx is a very very good mower. They say they are rated to cut 4 inch trees. I haven’t tried that

You said you are glad you don't have to blow the water lines out because it was going to freeze that particular night? Park the machine facing the morning sun rise and crank the machine first thing in the morning while you're getting the picker ready while it warms everything up. I am North of you in NC and have never blown lines out because of a freeze. Never had a problem in over 10 years of owning a round baler.

Why can’t you put the cotton through the vacuum on the picker on the right side instead of putting it in bags?

It takes a long time. Not gonna waste 3 hrs feeding cotton into a picker to save 100 lbs of lint when I still have 300 acres cotton waiting to be picked

Matt my dad tells me all the time if a farmer doesn’t throw a wrench or two across the field or lose your temper you’re not a true farmer. People doesn’t realize how frustrating it gets. If you want me to ride up there one day and help you with anything on that picker let me know. Wont charge you a dime. I know you probably don’t like me but I’m willing to help anyone. I try to be good to everyone.
