Actually the Tesla robots were by far the first robots. Before Tesla you had most of the public (old lads) say they don’t want ai robots. When Tesla blew up and Elon announced the robot along with other things. People changed their minds and basically by all of his accomplishments sided for robots with ai. Elon even said somewhere around the lines ,dont worry it will not be a terminator or anything like that, reassuring the public. So then ai basically had the box opened and lots of companies jumped in to start there own concepts. It was also in a collaboration with elons company. Sort of how space x started. Pretty amazing how one person can change the minds of many. Me I’m always for ai and robots. I think we just aren’t moving fast enough in the tech sector. Also to add Japan had robots prototypes before America started doing it. There is even this one robot that looks like it came straight out of manga. They said the only thing we need to do is add guns (joking in the interview) the reality is it can carry up to 5 Gatlin guns and integrated into the robot. That’s right around the time Elon started to think of doing robots. Of course the robot still had to be man operated. But it still had some ai systems.

@@12thegod You're kidding right? Boston Dynamics was USING AI in robots BEFORE TESLA WAS FOUNDED. It was after founding Boston Dynamics in 1992 that the company started incorporating more advanced AI and machine learning into its robots12. Some of Boston Dynamics' early AI-powered robots included BigDog in the early 2000s and PETMAN in 2009. The company's most famous AI-driven robot, Atlas, was first introduced in 2013 and has undergone continuous upgrades and improvements in its AI and control systems over the years, allowing it to perform increasingly complex and human-like movements and tasks.

Si pueden hacer que todos usen sus robots, van a tener la guerra económica ganada en ese sentido. Y puede que lo logren si hacen que sus robots sean de código y especificaciones abiertas. Esa es la razón de que casi todos los celulares usen Android.

Because its knees are bend backwards, it will have a hard time to get accepted in human environments, especially in privat spaces.

The only problem I can see is in a game of musical chairs. We won’t be asking these things to sit down. It may even make squatting to get at low shelves and ground objects easier.

OMG so idiotic the leg placement, jus to compensate for the lack of self balancing...and the second one, they just gave up and soldered the torso on top of a cart...this is beyond lazy. Thay's what you get after years of copying NASA Motion Picture Studios.

What a stupid idea - making a robot that mimics a human being. Just as $200 quadcopters have totally turned "modern warfare" upside down The idea of a robot that is a replacement for a human being is just stupid. The $200 quadcopter drops mortar shells on tanks that travel with open hatches to get fresh air and the quadcopter waits for a hatch to open and drops the mortar shell inside the tank A $200 toy taking out a $2 million tank. Swarms of smaller, cheaper robots are the way to go. I tell you - these AI/Robotic geeks have no imagination.

oh c'mon, why are people falling for this? this robot is just like any other robot out there nowadays its not like this technology never exist before and its definitely not the first, and saying it's AGI? when china dont even have any AI computer or supercomputer nearly beating the US? china for real isnt the leader in computer lead alone AI. tesla, figure 1 and Boston dynamics are well ahead of what this robot can do, plus the innovation comes from the US not china, they are only playing catchup. so to say this robot is "AGI" is so fake and dumb. and we've seen better.

@@nesseihtgnay9419 "when china dont even have any AI computer or supercomputer nearly beating the US?" " i study these things, semiconductor and chip manufacturing. EDA, CAE, PDK and who does what. and china does not lead in any of these." Time to STUDY HARDER, and hallucinate less: China's top supercomputer, the Tianhe-3 (also known as "Xingyi"), is believed to be the most powerful supercomputer in the world currently, with a peak performance of 2.05 exaflops and a sustained performance of 1.57 exaflops on High Performance LINPACK3. The search results indicate that while the details of the Tianhe-3 have not been officially disclosed by the Chinese government, it is likely surpassing the capabilities of the upcoming "El Capitan" supercomputer being developed in the United States35. The search also reveals that while China no longer has the most total number of supercomputers in the TOP500 list, it is still the country that produces the most supercomputers overall, with many of them being sold worldwide, including to the United States2. The search results suggest that China's decision to not report some of its top supercomputers to the TOP500 list may be due to geopolitical tensions and a desire to avoid drawing further scrutiny or sanctions from the US2. In summary, based on the available information, China's top supercomputer, the Tianhe-3, is believed to be the most powerful supercomputer in the world currently, even though it does not appear on the official TOP500 list
