I think you kinda got it backwards, Arche wasn't *killed* for her bodyparts, she was just used, like everyone else, "for the betterment of Nazarick". That is part of Momonga's undead character, which he wants above all else. His character altered him as a person, like how the bio, that the creators wrote for NPCs (which is essentially just flavour text) created the personalities. Nazarick and the NPCs in it is his greatest priority to protect, which is why his emotions broke through so strongly, despite the Undead passive. The past player personality is shit at roleplaying, but the roleplaying elements still affect him. Also, the reason the horrible sword guy was given mercy wasn't because of Ainz, it was Hamusuke. If it was all up to him, to judge based on all the people present, I'm sure it would've been much, much harsher for him, even if that wouldn't have meant it would've been better for Foresight. Hamusuke has a far higher "goodness" score than Ainz's player character.

It’s immoral that they are stealing burial offerings and desecrating an ancient burial site, but it’s not quite the same as entering someone’s home and murdering the occupants to take their stuff. Plus Ainz’s suffering doesn’t justify him lashing out and slaughtering people. Even if the slaughter is a means to an end the good results don’t negate the evil he does to achieve them.

Plus ainz did ask them before entering the tomb what they where there for and the replied "for the money of course" and he then left lots of gold outside the tomb but just to satisfy their greed they invaded his home. @cyborgcatrj67943 жыл бұрын
Oof, yeah sorry. The sign posting was there I definitely could have dodged that landmine. I was mostly using evil as a hyperbolic term to describe my personal feelings on the ethics of his actions. Ainz had no reasonable justification for killing the workers, he set up the job that lured them in to the tomb so that he could use their invasion as a political justification. He and his floor guardians were expecting their arrival, were immune to attacks made by any creature of their level range, and could have easily captured the intruders with minimal effort and zero risk while still achieving all of their political goals. From a warriors pride and honour perspective, yes they knew the type of job they were taking as well as the risks. That still doesn’t absolve Ainz’s responsibility for being the one who captured, tortured, and killed them. Their lives were in his hands and that is what he decided to do with them.

He wasn't even evil on a smaller scale. He wanted to genocide all off the lizardmen in season 2, including little children, to use them as undead. Like that was straight up fucking evil, man. Even if they got off good (because of Cocytus), hundreds of innocents still died. Later Demiurge kidnaps 100.000 people and steals all their shit, and Ainz is A-Ok with him slaughtering them all, again, including children. In season 1 he killed an entire adventurer team, merely for following him. He used Gazeff as a pawn and let his entire warrior band get slaughtered, just so he would have a full understanding of the situation. He has been compassionless from the very start, people just didn't want to see it, man. Though I will say one thing. The anime heavily tries to downplay Ainz's ruthlessness. He is more screwed up in the novels.

in Season 1, So were Ainz just getting used to the changes, and were only evil on small scale, mostly staying in the shadows and all that. Also... Would you really risk your own life for some stranger you never met before? cause Guess what?.. that's how Ainz and Gazeff's were back then. Strangers and non of them knew the other one. So would you really risk your life for someone you never met before? I know I wouldn't do that, I would do like Ainz and let the stranger that this group of people were really after, hell Gazeff's men's Death aren't even Ainz's Fault, its their own faults. They were told to retreat and let Gazeff deal with the enemy, but no.. they ran back and got their ass handed to them. And those Adventures.. their death weren't really Ainz's fault either, They could have died to anything during their adventure, and if you wanna blame someone for their death blame those that literally killed them. They didn't need to kill them, but they did it anyways. Season 2.. that's when Ainz started to live into the role of being Evil, which is why he were fine with killing all the Lizardman and all those people getting taken away, he wanted to strengthen his home and army. Fully understandable if your an Evil Overlord. But its not before this episode in season 3 he really start to act like an Evil Overlord, even if he does some mistakes still.

What do you mean those adventurer's deaths wasn't his fault? I'm not talking about Swords of Darkness here. I'm talking about Igvarge's group. But he could've easily mind controlled them and erased their memories or fabricate memories, he can do that, yet he didn't. This was the first downright evil thing he did, at least in the anime. In the novels it's sooner. The Lizardmen arc was pretty much where Ainz showed his darkest side. As Mind control could have faded away or stopped working after an while, which Ainz did not wanna risk. And Erasing his memory would only lead to people asking questions and more problems. So Killing him were the best way out of that, and again.. he did warn him. The Lizardman arc... well, yea he did some evil things there, Yes. But He was Taking over land and testing the strength of the lizardman, like i said.. its in Season 2 he starts to act more evil. while in Season 1 it was very small things that really isn't that Evil, I mean.. the guy were an ass, not to mention Ainz saw him as an hinder and something to be dealt with. and as said.. killing him were the easiest option, cause everyone would think it was the Vampire.. Everyone in chat gave most of the details that was worth sharing so instead I’ll share some quotes from the LN that shows that Ainz is so powerful that he is viewed as a god. --- Ainz proceeded to explain in such a way as to break Roberdyck’s spirit. “It was almost the same as just now. After casting a silent [Time Stop] I moved over here and cast the same spell I used on that man, [Touch of Undeath]. And then, I just touched her.” The air between them froze into silence. The sound of Roberdyck swallowing was exceptionally loud in comparison, “...You stopped time...” “Oh yes. Anti-[Time Stop] countermeasures are very important, don’t you know? You’ll need to have them by the time you hit level 70. Oh well, you’re going to die here, so in your case, it’s largely academic.” Roberdyck ground his teeth. He was lying. If only he could say that. If only he could deny everything this monster - this god - was saying. It would be better if he fell to his knees and clutched his ears to shut the words out. --- “Though it seems you’ve gotten the wrong impression. This is the Sixth Floor of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick. That is to say, you’re underground.” “...This?” Arche pointed to the world. The sky, the stars, the gently blowing wind, the forest which stretched as far as the eye could see. Although she did not think this place could be under the earth, when it came to these people, even that might be a possibility. “The 41 Supreme Beings, our most august creators, once ruled this place. It was created by them, and even we don’t understand all of it.” “-They created a world? That would make them like gods...” “That’s correct. To us, they are beings on the same level as gods. Gods with Ainz-sama as their leader.” --- I forgot to mention last episode but Kyouhukou and Neuronist Painkill are part of a group called the Five Worst. There are the worst in their respective categories. Kyouhukou (cockroach dude) has the worst residence. Neuronist Painkill (best girl ;) ) has the worst occupation. Gashokukochuuou (the one Hekkeran and Imina was sent to, to be nests) has the worst appearance. The other two don’t have much known about them but they are Chacmool (worst personality) and an unnamed person (worst ero).

It's hard to not feel triggered, and yet at the same time hard to put all the blame onto Ainz. If you think about it in his perspective, he wouldn't have known the workers' stories, backgrounds or purposes. All he got was "they came to steal", and to protect what he holds dear, he would wipe out anyone that threatens that treasure of his. We as the viewers got to see their whole story, their purpose and desire, and so we had a chance to sympathize and grow attached to the worker (or more precisely, Archie). Seeing her killed off here can be projected on our own society, where a man is judged based on his actions, not on his motives, and all judgements are made on the basis of Fair upon Unfairness. It's a shame, and a really sad fact that Archie died, leaving her sisters to their demise, and if we think about it, shouldn't our feelings and thoughts be directed into our own lives, rather than the fictional characters and the author who clearly put so much effort into deciding that fact? Just to say, Archie's story and fate is the reality of countless of unfortunate people around us. The author has my respect, he made me angry, sad and then reflect upon myself all within one story.

Kuma sadly you're punishment for Ainz won't work because he is undead and undead in that mmo game can't be affected by emotions at all or are suppressed. Like we saw in this episode Ainz got very angry and the suddenly his anger disappeared same goes for empathy towards other's as long he is undead he can't have empathy towards others. But he he cares for inhabitants of Nazarick's for they are creation's of his friends that reminds Ainz of better days when he was a human and had his friends with him.

I can see how people think ainz went to far in this episode but keep in mind he himself mentioned how he felt nothing when he caused humans to suffer so he really did all of this thinking it was best for his guild. Also if you do a little research, the guy who created the series added some extra lore that reveals what happened to the little sisters. To sum it up the father couldn't pay and decided to sell them into slavery which eventually killed them since they were worked to death. So yeah this series isn't light by any means but the in between moments where there are lighted hearted jokes help gloss over some of the truly horrible things have been happening throughout this series.

The author clarified it wasn't sexual slavery the sisters were sold into, they were sold into hard labor and died of overwork. Might've been salt mines, I don't remember exactly.

well actually its hard to clearly state whether Ainz is evil or not, every act we make have merits and demerits, killing half of the universe solves scarce resources and makes it a haven for the rest of them, although clearly agnoring the morale dilemma of committing to genicide. The lizard village was already in deep waters where they were literally at war at opposite tribes and committing to cannibalism to survive, yes that guy did make a self-sufficient fish farm, but yet still wont be enough to feed off all the tribe members, even the barer of the frost pain said it himself that they would have gone to war originally a second time due to how tense the resources were at the time,

An adventurer wouldnt care about killing a whole colony of Goblins would he? Mistake is that you people see Ainz as a human. He is a monster. He would feel close to his underlings and those he knows but he doesnt hold any bonds with humans any more. In his perspective they are another species now. Also, author of the novel wants to be needlessly edgy as well as guys doing the anime itself. Also, in his character info his morality affiliation is -500, the absolute evil. No member of tomb of Nazzarick has a lower moral rating. To put it into perspective Sebes Tians moral rating is 100 (the just Butler guy) , Cocytus moral rating is 50 (warrior who asked lizard men to be spared), Pandoras actor is 0, Demiurge is -400 (guy with the happy farm who calls humans the bipedal sheep, where humans are being skinned for scrolls and they are being bread with other monsters to create mixes, this all was approved by Ainz, people used were found among neighboring villages and in the capital when they created chaos) and thats an entire 100 more morality than Ainz. I would like seeing you react to Hunter x Hunter.

Tbh you actually contradicted yourself. Yes, he's trapped in the game but in the first season, he says he doesn't feel bad over the bad stuff he does. He has a little of his emotions left after being trapped in the game. He doesn't have a libido, doesn't feel the need to eat or sleep, and he does mention he doesn't faint at the sight of blood. You need to pay attention to the whole story in the anime and not a section with no context. Ainz even says to himself he is hypocritical for telling albedo to be more sensitive to humans while he despises humans himself. What you expected Ainz to do would be the same as you expecting one of his death knights to do it

Thats actually false that the chairmen of Nestle said that "water is NOT a human right", he actually said that "the idea that water is a human right is "extreme."" Not trying to say he is necessarily a good guy but his words taken out of context could mean a lot different things, plus he is a former chairmen now. Not saying that the message which Khuma is trying to say is wrong, first there is no wrong opinions, second I agree with it, he was simply trying to express that declaring water a public right”, which “ means that as a human being you should have a right to water”, as “an extreme solution”, he have since then, 2005, trying to clarify his statement and have said repeatedly that "Water is indeed a human right", just make sure you fact check the sources before preaching them Khuma. Right message, inaccurate example. My sources is Snope and Africa Check.
