Thank you! We just finished push hands today, and this is a lot of the theory's he works on. Moving with your partner. Soft and flowing. Using the moves we learned in the forms, when working with a partner. As a senior woman I am having great fun learning. Your channel is helping a lot. I LOVE your energy - you are showing me I can keep my spirit and still achieve some of the peace and qi I am seeking.

I learned much about Neigong (internal skill) from Dr. Painter when I learned Jiulong Baguazhang from him. As Shifu, he is very innovative and has an abundant knowledge of the Chinese internal martial arts.

I love it! Not only is it an exercise in which I see a lot of potential, but it is also very fun. It won't take me long to try it...

Neat, but I'm confused isn't the point to use the cup to sense the chi of the partner as opposed to just not crushing the cup kinda like doing the form with the jian vs partner sword work, not just to outreach into the object and incorporate it into ones schema, but to use that to stick adhere link and follow another?

Before you get to that point you have to first make sure you're moving properly. This exercise is to make sure you're not using your physical muscles to move. Using something easily crushable is a good way to test it.
