I bought the Mavic air 2 when it came out which doesn't seem that long ago, I don't think i need the upgrade as it is only the sensor size that would swing me, I really like the air2, I think I will be waiting to see what the Mavic 3 has personally.

I think that's a great decision. I mean if the Air 2 is doing everything you want it to, why change. If you did want to upgrade, wait a while for the next couple of drones and then when you do change you will see a significant difference to what you have. 👍

Thanks for the vid, however one glaring miss comparing to the Mavic Pro 2 is the variable aperture, which is pretty huge if you want to avoid swapping out ND filters and maintaining shutter speed. Another miss is the 'tripod mode' of the Mavic Pro 2 at 1m/s compared with the 5m/s of the 2S. Side sensors are also essential in side tracking shots.

I like very much the style of your presentations, always to the point. I fly the mini and the MA2 and decided to upgrade to the A2S, because of its Mavic 2 Pro class camera. The problem with the minis is that I had to cancel many flights because of adverse wind conditions, and got tired of it. As far as the Mavic 3, given its steep price increase, I prefer waiting for the Platinum or 3Pro equivalents to come out, and the Remote ID requirement to settle. Also, for Apple to introduce their M2 chip, to allow for faster video processing. So, in the meantime, I will be flying the A2S, which is a terrific quad, because of its features, compactness, and lower weight, than the M2Pro and Mavic 3. Greetings from Montreal, Canada. I love my air2 upgraded from Spark. That was massive difference between both drone. Now I am able to make 4k video for my channel and a much better quality too. Air2s is not good enough for me to update!! I wait for Air3 ;), great compare video!

Yes the mini 2 is a great drone but it's strength (sub 250g) is also it's weakness. If you're going to jump into the Air, then go the Air 2S as it will future proof you for a few years. Hey you're very welcome - thanks for the comment 😊👍

Only 3 minutes into the video but man, I am gutted. I only recently got the mavic air 2 and I thought it'd be future proof for at least another year or two... But something that left me underwhelmed with the mavic air 2 was the image and video quality. I got the Mavic Air 2s the day it came out. Has everything I want and need. But Im upgrading from the original bullet proof Mavic Pro, the number one. As I fly mostly over the ocean and film surfing my poor old girl was rusting a bit but still flying and doing way more than I ever thought from it. But I was really chasing slow motion for 4k and the S gives me that plus the bigger sensor. So for me this is a major upgrade from the Original.

Well it is a new feature released with the Air2S and the updated DJI Fly app. I don't have a Mavic 2 so it would be interesting to see if that function is available in the app for that drone - any other users of other drones able to use that function - please let me know!

Thanks for the review. What I really wanted to see is the video quality comparison. I really did not like the blurry video of the Mavic 2 pro, much preferring the Air 2s. But with 2s inheriting the same pro sensor I'm curious what this translates to in terms of sharpness.

I just bought the 2S...I already own the Air 2.. my problem is I upgraded mostly because of the sensor for photography and the distance. I was having issues with my Mavic 2 not going past about 3,000 feet from my house. I'm having the same issue with the new drone as well. I've tried every setting and even stood on the roof of my house to get a cleaner signal and it made NO difference!!
