I had a couple of (somewhat) lengthy visits in ZA with a very comfortable Afrikkans family in the 2000s'. My host and her family and friends and associates were the most civil and kind people I could ever hope to meet. But, they did not tolerate rudeness or suffer fools. Any of the critical remarks that I witnessed were well-deserved, delivered constructively in a very direct proper manner. However, I think I can understand how someone unfamiliar with the culture might be put off by some of the more boisterous individuals one can encounter. This was all endearing to me; they were the most genuine/authentic people I have ever had the pleasure to know.

I had an Afrikaner instructor at university. My classmates and I were terrified of her. She had zero tolerance for laziness, inattentiveness, sloppy work, or coming to class unprepared, and she was quick to let us know, in no uncertain terms. However, on the rare occasions when we worked hard and passed her exams, she was just as quick to acknowledge our efforts. This sketch reminded me of those classes. 😀❤️🇿🇦

Absolutely hilarious! I really enjoyed your longer and super-extended version of the incident...except for that pesky disabled child. He was everywhere and in way too many scenes. Do not get me started on the nervous flyer or the alcoholic or the bomb-toting thug. Thanks for sharing with all Air-Steward/Air-Stewardess personnel. I do feel a new mandatory service-improvement seminar coming soon though, and i have a terrible sick headache already.
