Great video, Charlotte. The air ambulance is incredible. Its unbelievable that they are all charities, isn't it? thelife-savingg work they do is beond priceless. I live in a forest in the northeast, not too far from you Charlotte and we have them quite a lot, especially for mountain bikers. If we ever take ill we would need one as no road crew could get to us without a barrier key or find their way to be honest. I laughed so much over the sheep a girl i worked with had a lamb do that same thing ran head first into a gate and dropped dead too. I think its true what they say 'sheep spend their life trying to find ways to die' the good bit is it didn't go to waste as it would have in the field. i hope your finger heals quick. Roy is better than most men he did get a plaster out for you 😂. You definitely had a day. Take care 💜

Charlotte you crack me up. A stanley knife cut is very clean which makes it bleed more, a bit of gaffer tape is better than a plaster. The glue on the tape seals the cut.

Our air ambulance told us that they don’t want government support. They don’t want to be controlled by them or face possible cuts to funding.

This was what we were told when our local air ambulance came and gave a talk to the village. They really don’t want governments interfering and cutting finances (or charging some random tax they come up with). I still think it was making that Prince William worked as a pilot for the Norfolk air ambulance and donating his salary to the charity. Those pilots do an amazing job especially when they fly into a city and have to find somewhere safe to land. There has been a program on channel 4 recently showing the work air ambulances do

I recently attended a talk given by a representative from Yorkshire Air Ambulance, who operate two aircraft. The question of whether air ambulances should be government funded was put to him. His reply was that if YAA was funded by the government they would probably have tried to save money by reducing the service to one helicopter. In his opinion the service is better if funded by donation etc

When you were filming the air ambulance landing I was in the que coming the other way, and I wondered if it was your land. I don't know what the car driver was doing to end up there. I don't think it was too serious as when I got back to Milburn I saw the air ambulance flying back to base. They do wonderful work. Beware of Stanley knives they have a mind of their own they've bitten me more than once🤬

I support the Thames Valley air ambulance and also via Ollies birthday bumper is it the North West air ambulance? It could be worth putting "what3words" on your phone so if you need assistance somewhere remote you can be located. I have it on my phone as I walk the dog in the woods and a nature reserve with plenty of roots to trip over and no real land marks.
