lately I've preferred springers. grab the gun and pellets and go shoot. they're more fun to tune, more challenging to shoot and single loading slows you down to concentrate on shooting better.

Absolutely!

Yes, I agree with you. Each shot is an event. From the cocking and loading process, to managing the recoil, really helps to focus the mind, on every shot. 😊

@@Steve-CrossI like both and shoot both but PCP is my fav, Mine is always stored with enough charge for a quick blast whenever I like, Load 5 or 6 mags and it's like a 22lr, But my pellets last longer when I'm using a springer so that's a bonus lol.

I had an HW95 .177 that was lovely but really wanted a PCP so part exchanged the 95 for a used air arms .177 PCP. The PCP was a really nice gun, but at 20 yards I could hit the bulls eye every time and this got boring! So I part exchanged the PCP for another used .22 HW95 and I love it. The new to me HW95 was better than the first as it had virtually no twang. In my opinion springers are just more fun & challenging plus cheaper to buy, use & maintenance is much simpler.

I have just bought the TX200. It looks and shoots amazing, for a springer. I am a new shooter and it really flatters my ability. In the hands of an expert shooter, I can see it being almost unbeatable. I would say almost comparable to a high end, PCP, in the right hands.😊

I also recommend when you get your first pellet rifle, search the internet for air gun providers for a sample pack of pellets for your particular caliber. That way you can try out different weights, types, and manufacturers to determine which one your rifle shoots most accurately, then you can purchase the one you select in bulk quantity.

Great job Angie! I definitely would go for the springer being it costs less than 1/2 half the price of the PCP rifle. Then one has to spend the price of the springer again for a decent fill source. One can buy 3 of these springers for about $2200 or spend more for the PCP and air source. Thanks for the comparison but not even close. Beat you on your girl too, brother. LOL

Great video and best wishes from North Yorkshire U.K. I have the air arms S510 tactical in 177 which is U.K. sub 12 ft lb and it’s an awesome rifle and very very accurate, got it dialled in at 35 yards and it’s pellet on pellet. And as for the TX200 HC this rifle in walnut is just a thing of beauty but more importantly very accurate as far as springers go and is one definitely on my bucket list. I’m really a Weihrauch man through and through having a few of them including the hw 97k in blue laminate in 22 and two hw 95k’s in 22 and 177 and a little 99s in 22. It’s always nice to go back to basics with a springer and to keep your eye in.

Excellent shooting. If you were giving me one right now. I would take the TX200. I have PCPs already. But I don't own a world class springer. 👍 What would interest me would be a high end spring comparison 🤔

Just to share. Last year my wife purchased a Hatsan model 95 .177 springer for my birthday. Out of the box, at 30 feet, I could put all shots into a clover leaf group, with open sights! Wow, impressive for such an inexpensive springer, with an adjustable trigger to boot. I put a Center Point 4x 32 mil-dot scope on it and have had good performance with that combination.

When I am doing 30 foot target shooting with my Hatsan 95 in .177 springer I use 7.4gr Crosman Premier round heads or pointed hunting pellets. I use my digital scale and weigh the pellets for my shooting session and put like weighed pellets in old medicine bottles and mark the top with what grain pellets are in each bottle. Yes, it is time consuming, but, by doing this and zeroing my scope to a specific weight pellet, it provides me with more accurate shooting. Thank you for the video and sharing your experience.

I took delivery of a Hatsan 95 springer in .25 cal recently and am impressed with the power and accuracy. My first shots averaged 603 FPS with H&N 27.47 Baracuda Hunter, expect possibly better performance as the gun gets more use. I like your pellet evaluation system, bound to help improve your groups.

Some people are shooting bulls at 30 yards... I use a bb gun to hit cans at 17 yards. At 10 yards, any good ammo should make one hole in my experience. Quality of the gun makes a big difference.

Great video! Great shot, great technique Angie. I do the same with my Beeman 10616 Magnum metal springer. Getting 0.3" group at 35 yards. Took a tree rat at 44 yards (had to use Google Maps to verify). I like the recoil from springers. Like firing a real gun. Springers can be very accurate with right gun / ammo combo. I use RWS 8.3 GR Superdomes at 998 fps. Great ammo for magnums, apparently... cheap also. Thanks for the video, bring on more 😉

I prefer a quality springer like the TX200 or HW97 above a PCP. You need just a tin with pellets to have whole day fun and you skip air bottles, compressor and leaking O-rings and gaskets. The more moving parts the more trouble.

You know what really at the end of the day a PCP will normally outperform any break barrel in any underlever rifle that is made if it's a really well-made PCP rifle I have shot them all and a PCP rifle is really the only way to go it may cost you more by getting a a tank or a pump or even a compressor but once you have those things you are good to go with any other gun that you decide to Buy but good video Angie

I have a question for those with experience with air rifles. I realize that it is difficult, but if the person is interested and a good reader, he will answer me.. Now all PCP rifles contain an air regulator, and this regulator expels air from the cylinder and remains trapped between the regulator and the piston struck by the hammer.. My question is this air, how many bar and how many cc.. and does it The amount and pressure of the air I mentioned above will be greater in volume and strength than the air released from the spring-loaded air rifle?
@AirGunWeb9 ай бұрын
If you can rephrase your question, I'll do my best to answer it. Cheers AGW
