Air Arms S510 Ultimate Sporter - My Personal Rifle Q&A

Brilliant video, thanks so much. I have an S510 HC and like you the only real problem I have had in the 7 years I have owned it is the indexing. Ronnie Sunshines where I bought it, returned it to Air Arms and they replaced the indexing arm free of charge. It is the most consistant air rifle I have and bearing in mind it is un regulated it is more consistant than my FX impact Mk2 which was twice the price. And like you I have no plans to replace it any time soon. If I could afford it I would however, most definitely invest in one of those GRS stocks , beautiful !

I've had my S510 R Ultimate Sporter in Black for about 4 months now. Absolutely love it. I've received my Arken Zulus 3x12 yesterday and it's a game changer! Love your videos chap, I went with the Manbily saddle clamp on your recommendation and it's great quality for the price.

The 3-12 LRF can range down to 5 yards and that is a big plus also. Glad you're happy with the Manbily saddle clamp, they're a good price and high quality. Thanks Jason.

A couple of years ago i bought a brand new 510 R ultimate sporter and it was absolutely crap, the accuracy was terrible, the adjustable cheek piece had a wobble which wouldn't stop even when tightened up, so got rid ,i must have got a bad one as i know air arms do make some decent stuff ,great review 👍

Hello My friend, Thank you for your latest video and what a great idea to have a relaxed conversation in a beautiful wood, about your kit that you use, and your why's and wherefores for using it. Utube, with respect, need to see things for what they are. They've only to read the comments your watchers send you, to realise how much you are liked and how beneficial your content is. They also need to realise humane hunting isnt a dirty word. Without it, none of us would be here! I've learned a great many things off Utube, things that Utube would curl their noses up at, but were extremely valuable lessons to shooters/hunters like me and us. Utube, you really need to look at what they are deleting, and the value it holds for a great many people. I have an Ultimate Sporter in .177. I love it, its a fantastic air rifle. Your GRS stock is gorgeous and I've thought about changing my stock too. However, I'm not prepared to place the original, fantastic stock in a cupboard, or sell it. It's far to valuable to me to do either. So I guess I wont be changing my stock. I've dealt with Air Arms Team, too. Claire, and her team are very approachable and great to deal with. It was very kind of them to send your free trigger spare parts. However, you're doing them a great favour too, and they'll recognise that and be grateful. Just one last thing. In terms of Air Arms Ultimate Sporter and Weihrauch HW100KT, Id humbly say, they are both the perfect air rifle, and like you say, choosing one above the other would be like choosing a favourite child. The cocking lever on the Air Arms Ultimate Sporter, for me, is the best. It's as though it runs on ball bearings. Its a beautiful action, it's poetry and I love every single time I use it. The Weihrauch HW100KT is genius. They are both fantastic air rifles and in my humble opinion, not much beats German engineering. Air Arms S510 cocking lever is the best. It's smooth, ball bearing like and utter genius. A joy to own. The Weihrauch is level in other ways, too, for me. This isn't a dig at Weihrauch. As a customer to both, I think they are both genius, and as airgunners we all benefit greatly from having them both, and what they design and manufacture for us. Without doubt, two fantastic, quality air rifles. Thank you, all my airgunning friends.

Happy to hear you enjoyed this video. It is different from my usual videos. Just a shame KZbin are really on my case the last few months and I have to be really careful, hence why I have had to create a Patreon account to protect my content. The good news is I can create exclusive content and also more graphic content with no restrictions or adverts. I do prefer the cocking lever on the AA S510, it seems quieter and smoother but they’re both as reliable as each other.

had my ult sporter since 2015 (in 177)and been excellent .like all air arms the exhaust valve as had to be changed(happens with most air arms)but i wont ever be getting rid of it and im sure it will be used till im finished

cant fault air arm i have s510 us 3 s410,s in 22&177 s200 and an xm100 prefer them to any of my other guns including hw100 bsa ultra etc ,there super reliable

I recently purchased an "ultimate sporter r".... dropped it into a "form chieftain" cammo stock .....it wears an "infiray tdl50" day/night scope.....loves 10.34 jsb like yours and absolutely stacks pellets. Mine like yours is nudging the limit .Use it mainly for rats ...can't see me parting with it any time soon😉......ps love your videos 👍

​ Hi, not totally convinced but your gun does look good. By comparison I just purchased a BSA R12 CLX Pro red pepper and can't get a 75mm group at 30m rested, which all of my 15 year old + Air Arms and BSA's can do.

Great video. Can you confirm what mount you use for your Arken Zulus? I have just ordered a Zulus 312, but no sure what picatinny rail mount I will need for my S510

All you would need to do is buy the AA S510 regulated version. That’s pretty much it really apart from the stock.

Great video, pity UTube is so short sighted. Already following on Patreon all I can say is there loss. I do know the revenue they pass on is peanuts. Time will tell if this policy of there's backfires on them & most if not all shooters change to other platforms.
