Air Conditioning Mini Split Remote Basic Functions

How to use a mini split remote control, covering all the basic functions, features, and options. I show how to set the air conditioning to cold, how to turn on the heat, how to use the different modes, and what all the buttons on the remote do. I'm doing this video since ductless air conditioners are getting more and more popular and many people struggle to understand what all the buttons on the remotes do. The remote used in this video is from a MrCool ductless mini-split unit but many other brands will have very similar buttons and features on their remotes as well.

@@jonathanlimoges1909 Oh okay! In that case, try to press and hold the up and down arrows together for 3 seconds. If that doesn't work, if you give me the model number on the air handler (or on the remote if there's a model on it) I can try to look it up for you.

Hey bro, just a question for you about regular split residential syatems. I install my fair share of them and my customers are always happy with my work. I notice that between the 7-9 year mark, like clock work, they seem to start losing their charge. After poking around a bit, it always seems to be the evap coil with a pinhole from rust. Is that a normal occurrence you are finding where you are? If so, it seems that these things are designed to fail very quickly. Especially when you consider a company like York charging $1400+tax, tradesmen cost, for a replacement. Lmk your opinion on this, thx

My ac condenser fan motor quit working. (This is all before i found your videos). I replaced the motor turned everything on and still nothing. I noticed that the contactor was buzzing and when i tapped it, it would quit. I replaced the contactor. I turned it back on still nothing to fan motor. The contactor is working. I can see the poles working like they should. Any chance i just got a bad motor or do you think there’s something else I’m missing??? Thanks

You should be able to change it by pressing the up and down arrows together for 3 seconds. 👍
