Seems like a genuine and nice guy. He must thank his lucky stars he had a dad who made a living selling Porsches. Mine was a dentist. I think I got a free teeth clean for my graduation! 😁

My first 911 was a 1977 "S" model Targa with black trim, black interior, and painted in Chiffon White. Just like the M491 you showed. Love that color which makes the 911 look very elegant IMHO. Spectacular inventory!

Well… As a European/German who grew up with these cars on the street, I can honestly say, this gentleman knows his stuff 👍 ( I’m not a expert ) Anyway … As far as styling goes … when the wide body models came out, (in the 80ˋs ) this was it for me… To much … LOOK AT ME … and then the ridiculous horse power … no … I like the cars from the sixty and seventy’s best ! Greetings from Germany everybody 👋

Thanks Nick! Before the Haters Hate-I love and Live these Pcars and mean no Disrespect. BUT Great Patina, Turbo with Original Paint, Steering Wheel, and Radio for $200K. I've been restoring the same 2 air cooled 911s/2 BMW Mcars for years and you better have a 6 inch binder with photos showing me everything that was done to maintain it. Additionally if ANYONE thinks a low mileage Pcar won't require serious commitment from the owner (Even More if you can't turn a wrench) is dreaming. Think about any original 30-50 year old car-From the foam in the seats to the engine internals and every rubber seal in between. You or your mechanic will become intimate with your adopted aging Pcar. This forced me to be ALL in. Luckily my friends in the Pcar trade mentored me over the last 20 years which led to investing in Snap-On tools.

Great video Nick! If only I had the forethought back when I looked at some ‘80’s 911’s, when I could have actually afforded one, but decided instead to buy a minivan for my then growing family…my kids would have loved riding in the back “seats” of a 911 - well two of my three kids would have.

25:40 ethanol is awful. I remember when they first started adding it and I noticed it eating the lines in my gas powered lawn mower. I have a CLK Black Series that is getting up in years and I wonder how to really protect it... I start it regularly but it has ethanol in it..

Great one, thanks a bunch for this! In recent years I kinda noticed that my dad s 964 has become increasingly special whilst he d just call it a good sports car that somehow never got close to his appreciation and admiration for the Austin Healey Mk2 one of his friends had and still has - yet he chose to rather quickly sell his 993 to a friend keeping the older 964 - thing I didn t quite understand at the time (to me the 993 was its replacement and the nicer car). Nowadays, I totally get it and the fact that my dad has a 1st owner car with a meticulously kept history (incl literally every service, oil or tyre change) means something to me. My dad doesn t even care coz "this is how it should be" kinda logic that I couldn t help but adopt but at the last two services, one of the mechanics smiled and went like "you know, 1 owner 964s like yours are basically unicorns". I tried to urge my dad to find out how many there are and even more so in our spec but I simply didn t and whilst still wanting to know, I think the fact it doesn t really matter whilst being curious tells me, I share his passion.
