welcome to one of Europe's biggest military training - Air Defender 2023.
About the Event:
Air Defender 23 is the largest air force deployment exercise in NATO's history. It demonstrates solidarity within the alliance and transatlantic ties: From June 12th to 23rd, up to 10,000 exercise participants with 250 aircraft trained under the leadership of the German Air Force for air operations in European airspace.

Love the Rabbits, took my mates Lurcher out once to a small wood at the corner of a commercial airfield, only a small one with regional flights, a Hare bolted and the dog took off after it, straight onto the runway!! It was weekend when no flights were scheduled and no hobby pilots around luckily!

Love the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet and Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet series, They are so iconic but my heart still belongs to the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II and Grumman F-14 Tomcat respetivly The Saab JAS 39 Gripen does win a soft place in my heart while the Panavia Tornado is very special to me, Now all we need is Grandpa Hanz coming out of nowhere with his trusty Messerschmitt Me 262

Yeah the F14 is a very special bird and its very sad that this aircraft is retired. For me, as a german, the Panavia Tornado is very close to the Tomcat, with the badass wing sweep. Sadly it will be retired soon and replaced with the F35A. And it sounds like the iranian Air Force will retire their F14s in the near future. But maybe this is a chance to bring an american F14 back to live.

The F/A-18F with the Modex of "AJ-207" is from VFA-213 BLACK LIONS Call Sign: BLACKLION, so this aircraft's call sign is; BLACKLION-207. VFA-37 flies F/A-18Es, and their aircraft wear the 100 series modex, plus, the CAG Bird has blue trim, as well.
