I smile when you talk about landing on the boat. It’s the airmen’s way of snubbing the surface vessel sailors who always refer to it as the ship. 😁

I got out in 1992 and the F/A-18C Legacy single seat was considered top of the line. I certainly would have never thought that the Hornet would be the full range of carrier operations. The E/F/G model takes multi mission to a whole new level!. Great detailed walk around and explanation…

In regards to the right main wheel well what he referred to as the APU Exhaust, that was actually where you hook up an external air source to spin the engines over if you don't have a working APU. The APU exhaust is on the centerline of the plane. Worked on the D model for 3 years and in charging handle is in a different spot, but pretty similar

Except for extremely short un-refueled legs, killer platform. Few decades ago, friend of mine worked this program from Navel Avionics in Indy. Range was Prowler’s advantage. Otherwise this was several fold more advanced tech. Thanks for the content. Many fighters including Growler are AOA sabotage away from ever getting in the air. In air, AOA failure away from a bad day.
