I didn't use cling film when making a pot. Now my air drying clay has stuck to my crockery. Are there any tips for releasing it and getting it off in 1 piece?

@@littlevoice_11 once fully dry it should just ping off, both being bone dry there would be nothing to make it stick, I hope it releases for you

This is so helpful. I used some air dry clay with my new Zuri moulds and put them in the freezer for 30 mins so it made them easy to take out of the moulds but I can see wee bits curling as they are drying so I’m gonna move them into a cooler space. Thanks so much for your amazing videos and helpful tips. I’ve got hooked on this now and I absolutely love it!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge Sarah. I love your videos and your voice is so calm and soothing so they are my go to these days ❤I'd like to ask if home made air dry clay works as well. I'm making a lot of christmas ornaments for the sale this year and DIY clay would be economical for me if it works as well as the shop bought one. Thanks for any advice.

You are so welcome, thank you 😊 DIY Air Dry Clay Recipe: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJTRapWsmaiBaLs I find the cost is pretty similar, but in the UK air dry clay is not expensive, so best weigh the costs up.This homemade clay is very durable, almost rock hard actually, but make sure you really beat it and don’t overheat. Best of luck ❤️

What if the piece I'm making is not flat on both sides? so I can't re-roll over it, lay something on top of it, or turn it over?

Hi Sarah, FYI, There is a hiss in the audio. Other than that iIm always happy to hear more about ADC! ❤
@RedRockingBird Жыл бұрын
Hi, I hoped it wouldn’t be too noticeable, if you turn the volume lower it kind of goes away, something I’m working on with my head shot videos. Last time I knew I had a hiss I mentioned it and most people said they didn’t notice, so this time I thought I wouldn’t mention, but yes I know it’s annoying, sorry, always mention it if there is something not quite right, that’s how we improve after all. Thank you, have a great day 😊❤️

Do you find there is any "optimal" temperature range for air-drying clay to cure?
@RedRockingBird Жыл бұрын
Not really, in warmer climates you may want to slow down the drying, humidity would also take effect as-well and I’m only used to the UK climate 😆❤️😊

My question is my clay not perfect make how I do 😒
@RedRockingBird Жыл бұрын
Do you mean it’s nit very smooth when finished and maybe a bit bumpy? As a beginner I’d go much thicker with the walls of the clay and take plenty of time to create and smooth. Leave to partially dry and then you can use a slightly damp sponge to smooth some more if needed. Once fully dry you can sand with sandpaper, hope this helps, Sarah
