I enjoy all of your videos. Thanks for posting them for us. Would it make sense to also push the elevator forward to break the stall, and afterwards recovering from the dive/spiral.

That's a good point worth addressing. Most light trainers are very stable and designed not to spin well for obvious reasons. Cessna recommends that elevator back pressure is released. However on many aircraft (that are not spin tested), the pilot may be required to push full nose down to break the subsequent stall. I have even heard of some aircraft (AA-1 Yankee) needing simultaneous and abrupt rudder and nose down input to break the stall.
