I am glad to have some kind of motivation toward your success. If you are still waiting to hear back and havent heard anything negative, i'm sure you got it! Good info. I’m also a travel nurse (PCU/Stepdown). Awaiting a decision from the board. Do you follow the same hospital schedule, 3/12s? How’s the hospital population from a military standpoint? I imagine there’s a level of respect that the civilian side is lacking.

it's Panama schedule 40 hour weeks so rotating 3 12s and 4 12s or dependent on mtf.

I am still debating man! Whenever you empathize long hours than civilian nurses, its scares me because of with role of a father and husband.

The civilian world is great for heavy experience, if you wanna get good fast. The air force/military nursing is a slow progression and they eventually build you up. It's up to you what you really wanna do. I just did civilian nursing for a very long time and I can say there is a huge difference which i appreciate because i did everything i could. I just feel more fulfilled with what i do now.

How does Nurse Anesthetist pay in the USAF compare to civilian industry? Ive read salary in the civilian sector is $181,000 for a CRNA; thanks

If you do CRNA as a civilian, i honestly dont think it's worth it to go into service because you WILL take a massive pay cut. Versus getting your crna while in service you grow with your pay. especially once you start making rank and get your bonuses.

I cannot make that decision for you. If you are comfortable then that's good, but what ever goals you have will not work unless you work toward them. Sorry i can't be of much help here.
