Nicely captured. Living on the flight path of RAF Mildenhall we have seen some interesting aircraft over the past few days, but seeing Air Force One was the icing on the cake.

I'm from Somerset, seen lots of huge and crazy military aeroplanes pass over on the way down to Cornwall this week, flying the lowest I've ever seen and heard, practically hugging the landscape. Awesome sight.

Air Force One is one of the most beautiful, recognizable and respected aircraft in the world. Unfortunately the new ones coming next year won't honor the over 50-year-old paint scheme, because Trump has had them repainted in the scheme similar to his bankrupt airline instead. I hope Biden reverses it before our country is embarrassed by them.

I love this plane. I also like the way Harrison Ford let it go down the ocean because he had no option . That movie tried to explain that even Airforce 1 is not foolproof but the person who travels on it has the power to save the lives of millions around the world.

I live in Mildenhall near the base, so I was lucky enough to get a good view of the visit, wasn't allowed on the base but you could still see everything and everyone.

I follow Mildenhall info on Facebook groups, and the app I use is ADSBExchange, it is quite useful to track military aircraft :)

No American airline bought the A380. The newer, smaller aircraft are much cheaper to fly and are much more flexible/adaptable to the airline business.

@@Jack3md Indeed you are correct, we will probably see 747-8's for the next 30-40 years if they get their worth out of them. The A380 was never designed for cargo from the get go like the 747, so they won't ever see a second life as a cargo jet. It's a shame passenger service (747) on mainline airlines is disappearing quickly and Covid accelerated that by a lot..

There are 2 or 3 C17's with the aircraft and ground vehicles that arrive. There is also a backup airframe lurking somewhere the other tail # to whichever carries the POTUS that is Air Force 1. when this copter departs there should also be 2 others accompanying it. I see you got 2 of the C-17s. Great luck and job.

No it wasn't the back up plane. This was 82-8000 and Biden got off 82-8000. The other VC-25A tail 29000 is still in the US. There are currently two back up and support USAF Boeing 757/C-32 in the UK for the Biden flight package.

Indeed this paint scheme is timeless and iconic. Why Trump even wanted to alter it is beyond me. Well I know why, the guy wanted his mark on everything before he left.. I hope Biden rescinds that and chooses to keep the classic look. After all, every one of those jets in the fleet would then have to be changed to the red white and blue scheme Trump was looking it. To be honest, it looks like a plain jane airline paint scheme no one gave much thought about. I got to see VC-25A (tail 28000) in person once (within 200ft of it) and it looked fantastic.
