RAF St Mawgan started out in in 1939 as a couple of Nissan Huts down in the far south west corner of one of its fields, TREBELSUE FARM (TR8 4AN), and grew into one of the largest airfields in the UK. Like Arthur Compton, it has always been of interest to me (a Newquay boy) also having ties. My Mother was a WAAF stationed there at St Mawgan. My Father trained as a Lancaster Rear end Gunner at nearby St Eval and met my Mother in 1942 at a dance organised on the St Mawgan Camp by the RAF staff. Talk about saving the environment and the planet..... how many planes and helicopters plus the fleet of road vehicles just to transport one President a few miles. One rule for politicians, one for the rest of us "plebs" :-(

You obviously have no clue. Sleepy Joe is a corrupt career politician living of American tax payers over 40 YEARS. President Trump every year gave to charities his $400,000. annual President's pay check. The current guy is putting it in his pocket.

Such a beautiful iconic airplane. I hope they don't ruin the color scheme. My second favorite aircraft after the Concord.

@@davewatson2124 LOL, just messing with you for making it political. I thought this would be a safe place because it's an airplane. Albeit for a political office, I should have known better. It's carried US Presidents since the 60's without regard to political party. Well we both agree on the color scheme. My apologies if I offended you.
