If you don't want the cake to be brown on top use foil but poke holes in the foil and cover the cake for the first half of cooking time then take it off and it will brown the top of cake after that. I saw that on another youtube video.

I cook my meatloaf directly in the oven on the removable pan. Add a little water to the bottom and spray the removable pan, the grease drips down and the water keeps it from smoking. I sometimes make it in a 7" bundt pan with mashed potatoes in the center ring. Also canned biscuits, 280° F for 11-12 minutes, I don't preheat, but you could.

You have a bake setting on the fryer - makes the fan work slower to get a great bake.

Thanks. I've not cooked in years b/c of not having time, Just bought an air fryer. Love that I can use the silicone muffin - wow, I'm betting corn muffins would be great. Coming from someone who's single with an fryer for 2 years now and practically uses it every day, go with at least a 7 quart capacity. I do want to invest in some accessories. As far as baking, the silicone muffin pan will probably be my first choice. I 100% recommend that you do the muffins, and ALL recipes, from scratch. I understand if you're a parent and don't have time, but when you can, DO! As far as cooking spray? They usually contain propellants which can damage the interior of your air fryer, instead go with an oil mister, my recommendation is the Sur La Table brand, and you can add the oil of your choice. I have one for a neutral: canola or safflower, and extra virgin olive oil. It probably works out to be cheaper as well. Just my 2 cents.

That air fryer needs to preheat to get great results. Then you put your food in. According to the signs on there, and for skewers use 1/2 the time of the desired food cooking

So glad to see someone do a video on baking cake in a basket style air fryer. How long did it take you to bake the cake? I'm trying to find out if a 7 inch pan would be too large for the Cosori 5.8 quart.

FYI Preheat is recommended according to the booklet included with the Cosori air fryer.

After using it for a couple years it really doesn’t make a difference on a lot of things. And I use it daily. So just save you some time, and just start cooking. ☺️

Glad I bumped into this video, I was planning on purchasing the accessories for #cosori air fryer but it is just too expensive. I found one that was for Philips Air fryer and the price is way cheaper and size are the same, do you think this will work with Cosori unit?

I free form my meatloaf, so that all of the grease will go to the pan. The meatloaf keeps its form.

I just watched another video of a man opening up his box kit of accessories and he was reading off of the box what each one was for. He stated from the box that the silicone mat was for putting hot dishes on. So I'm with you, how would you bake on it?
