Man. Loved this video. Lost my cat yesterday. She was 3 years old and she still looked like a kitten. Loved the review and the ending. This video cheered me up a little. Cat person here but I used to have 5 dogs at one point. Thank you, Chris and Jody.

I got these on ebay for $90 back in 2007 almost brand new, wore them to high school and was breaking necks like crazy. In 3 months the hype for Jordans started skyrocking and was able to sell them used for $250 on Ebay again. Good old days.

@@natedogg8648 This was the standard way of manufacturing back then and they had even cheaper labor than they do today. Most factory's are setup to make footwear with textiles and hot meld materials (faster and cheaper construction methods) so things are just different today.

When I was first getting into sneakers, I always gravitated towards the lesser known Jordan's, like the 2s, 15s, 16s, and 17s. I had a pair of original 17s with the case and CD that my boss gifted me, brand new, never worn, with the peel stickers on. I loved those things.

The irony of him missing the dunk is that it’s not because he couldn’t jump high enough. He just didn’t realize what he should do and didn’t want to hurt himself. I’m 37 and thankfully still able to dunk, but I’m not doing anything creative nowadays and I definitely don’t have as much power as he had when he took off for that dunk.

If I recall didn't they call the heel Air unit a Blow molded Air unit. I played a lot in the 17s both mids and lows and they were solid performers. Fun personal fact. When the 17's first dropped I bought just about every colorway both for the mids and the lows. And that was back when $200 was crazy to spend on sneakers. But at that time I didn't have any kids or a wife and all my money was mine LOL

Got some real core memories with these pairs, both the OG and the low, despite never owning either lol OG: back in 6th grade (2002) EVERYBODY was all about the Adidas T-Macs. Everyone, myself included, had a pair. Nike and Jordan weren't as hot back then, especially for signature athlete shoes (VC was the only guy they had at the time iirc). When intramurals came around, everybody was getting ready to hoop and then one of the new-ish kids in school came to the court with a silver suitcase. Everybody was confused until he opened it and pulled out the OG red 17s which no one hade ever seen before. Dude looked like a legit baller and was pretty big for a 12y.o. filipino kid back then. Come jump ball, he won the tip and.....that was about it for his highlights. Dude had 2 left feet and couldn't actually hoop to save his life😂 Lows: next year (2003) was my high school freshman year in a new school. There was a junior at the time who was legit the Michael Jordan of that school. Never lost championship games, held all the scoring records etc and these lightning lows were his pair. The funny thing is is that after every game, before he went home, he would just leave his 17 lows in his locker by the restrooms without locking it. No padlock no nothing. Just threw them in there until the next game. Hell, sometimes he didn't even close the locker all the way. And NO ONE dared to steal 'em. Aside from the fact that we were a small school of about 360 students and everyone would know if you stole something from someone, all the hoopers in school respected TF outta this junior because of his skill and dominance. His 17s were safe because we would rather watch him hoop/play with him than have a shot at some "new" Js😂

got the OGs in the white and red cw and they came in a red breif case. they were a back to school purchase on tax free weekend. I specifically remember goin to champs, footaction and footlocker before my mother eventually bought em’ for me. even back then the price for those was like double the normal OG retro prices. I remember the salesman at footlocker tellin my mother and I that I could use the breif case to put my toys in when asked by my mother what I was gonna do w it. every other sales man was like… idk when asked that same question. that’s why I ended up gettin my white and red ones from footlocker.

The tech is what makes very expensive I don’t wanna hear anybody saying that this shoe cost two dollars to make because it doesn’t and that’s why they produce so few of them. Plus all the All-Star Kicks are special to me ever since the first time he wore an alternative color way in the All-Star game 92 Bordeaux 7️⃣ then the aqua eight then the Columbia 11 he didn’t wear a special color again until this shoe right here in the 2002 All-Star game .

Yeah man, I was always surprised that Jordan didn't wear the True Blue 3's in the '88 All Star game... & then rock the Military Blue 4's in the '89 ASG. Both pairs would've actually matched better with the uniforms the NBA went with during those 2 years.

@@TWIZZTHEWHIZKID 💯 Twizz Grape 5s in 1990 & saved black metallics for playoffs. Grapes already legendary, but w the uniform colors from 96 he wore with Columbia 11s would’ve been od ahead of time that he was already ahead of. In 91 the game was in Charlotte. He could’ve busted them back out instead of the infrared sixes cause we were going to see those for the best championship run I ever seen. 4-4-5 & out …. Lakers got game one on that Sam Perkins, three-pointer and I was it.

@@IAmInfinitus208 Same here , used to call it the Venus flytrap Silhouette, but I look at Obsidian 15s now. Eastbay Pack really would knock OG sneaker community for a loop & shake it up a little bit. Right now I feel like there’s too much of a cross contamination of influencer that used terms like OG, but have no idea what that means it’s lost all meaning it’s become almost like a colloquialism . I need the white/ Purple ones Ray Allen’s Bucks PE I’m not picky it can be a GR. It doesn’t need the Ray 34 branding interesting thing about that shoe on the back tab. Is it’s 23-15-6. 23 obviously for his number 15 for the model six for the amount of championships . It’s really also 999 or 999 they came out in 1999 so look at this. 23= 6 15= 6 & 6 obviously = 6 if invert it it’s 999 definitely don’t believe that was a coincidence tinker is way too detailed for that. He definitely put as Easter egg but I never see anyone catch unless understand numbers.

Thus the longevity he played in all 82 games in 2017, 2018 for the first time in his career And the only time in his career and I’m not here to knock LeBron but I always see people that are for LeBron use MJ’s wizards against him. Great video as always! Been excitedly waiting to hear Chris's thoughts on these. Disappointing that they even fell short on the thickness of the leather on this $300 pair, and I agree that they should've worked more on that toe slope. Still easily my most desired sneaker this year, and a personal must-have. Oops, forgot to answer the question: I'm allergic to both so my real answer is neither, but I prefer kittens.

I loved this video, the shoes I don’t know. I’m gonna wait till release date and see how I feel about them on that day.

Awesome review as always. Will try to grab a pair if these release here in the Ph I would choose puppies if I had to choose. But can’t say no to both.

Love the video! Had these back in the day ! I played ball in them they didn’t last! I thinking they had too much plastic! Huge pass for the price and they really don’t go with anything! Keep up the great content!

i would like a pair, but only 10k made? thats gonna be hard as hell. also puppies/dogs. cats are cool and once a cat "accepts" you, they can be great, but i still always feel judged by cats. dogs just happy when youre happy. what more do you want in a friend.
