VERY easy installation! Improved the ride and on the highway, we are getting better mileage under same driving conditions, by raising the rear end to just above level.

Just followed your MUCH easier procedures today on a 2WD 2004 4Runner. Jacked up the rear, cut bump stops with saws-all (hardest part), wiggled the bags in, ran the lines, bob's your uncle. Saved me hours of work disassembling the back end just to get the springs and bump stops out. You could even use like a drywall saw to cut the bump stops or small hack saw or anything like that. Between each section of bump stop is a skinny little neck of rubber holding it together so it doesn't take much to cut through. So glad I saw your video! Thanks!!!

Joshua Hill...did this same kit work for your 04? I have an 03 but the same kit says it will not fit my 4Runner. Just curious

Disconnect the shock from the axle and push down on the axle or jack up the other side and the spring comes right out. It seems that you could have just added spring spacers to the top of your bump stops and solved your problem for half the cost and 1/3 of the work.

I just received my kit for 96 4runner (Kit 60743 it says 2011 Sequoia) and it looks like yours. I thought I may have the wrong kit because it just seems like there is so much space for those air bags to rattle around inside the uncompressed springs (putting in new Moogs because I'm too cheap to buy better ones). Was hoping to see your kit under load to make sure bags were the right length. Does the airbag contact upper and lower surface of spring mounts when under vehicle weight?

On ours (sold years ago), I had to cut the bump stop out as seen in the video. Bought the airbags because of the sagging springs. So yes, with an empty vehicle I actually added enough air to raise the rear to what looked level to the front. Don't remember the psi needed. 15-20 maybe?

@@jjtt2003 Thanks, I had no jounce bumper in my 96 4runner (apparently some did not have them from factory). I still have quite a bit of space between airbag and upper spring saddle. I have new springs...maybe that's the difference. This kit is only going to stop all load going to the bump stop. I figured it would support the weight long before hitting bump stops. Figures I'd have the unusual 4runner setup!

Nice job on the workbut you should take the T out because when he binds up the vehicle all the the air will be forced to the one bag and it'll will pop
@jjtt20034 жыл бұрын
We never 4-wheeled it hard. So the bag popping was not an issue for us, but the sagging of the spring onto the bump stop was. Thx

I like your reasoning though. However, the kit came with the "T" and one filler and we are not off roaders.

Did you do much off-roading with mud sand rock.... how did you find the durability of this product over the months and years Thank you
@jjtt20033 жыл бұрын
I don't have any information related to off-roading. Sorry.

its a 2wd, this is just a lift for show, not for function.

I'm installing and noticed around point 4:30 you clipped off the clip ends so it would fit in the pre existing hole. That's an interesting solution as the manual wants a 9/16 hole drilled out...which is difficult to do without removing the spring...which is a whole another project. question is how well those clamps hold without the pinch ends. any problems with the approach you took?
@jjtt20039 жыл бұрын
livingwaterutube No problems thus far. The pinch ends are primarily for, well, pinching to gap the clip over the tubing. :-) The tension has not displayed any less tension holding the bags full of air. Haven't checked them in a while as I sold the vehicle to a neighbor up the street. He has not mentioned one problem with the airbags, or anything else...must be a Toyota. :-)

I am sick and tired of mine springing leaks. has anyone ever filled the bags with "high density" foam?
@jjtt20037 жыл бұрын
Taz Man, I'd want to pinpoint the leak with some watered down dishwashing liquid soap in a spray bottle. You may have an easy fix once located. Maybe a line is rubbing, or maybe a manufacturing defect in a bag, or a fitting issue, or even the filler valve is leaking. I'd go that direction if you haven't. Cheers!

Where's the rest of the video? I would like to see the setup on the front.
@jjtt20037 жыл бұрын
OG213LA there are no airbags on the front for towing, and to remove the sag.

Do you know what part number you got for the kit. I was sent 60809 which in the picture seems longer but now when I got it.
@jjtt20037 жыл бұрын
Oscar Flores, the only part number I see is on the instructions sheet. Beyond that, I wouldn't remember. Sorry about that. But, if they are taller by an inch, do they fit? Maybe contact the store or manufacturer?

Does this lower or lift the truck
@jjtt20036 жыл бұрын
Because the springs sag, we installed this system to raise the rear end to stock riding height rather than it sagging, or rather than purchasing and installing new springs. Further, if we carried a load/trailer, we could adjust the air as needed.
