Awesome the company sent a free replacement. There are some good guys out there still. I need a set for our minivan and never thought about squeezing the air out and sliding in the side. Good call!

Great video! I put these in my 2013 Ram 1500 and pulled our 23’ camper trailer over 100,000 miles around country with them. They worked great and were still working when I sold the truck! I don’t think I ever needed more than 20 psi when towing with the camper and around 10 to 15 psi without the camper and all my tools in the bed of the truck.

Something I learned the hard way, back when air shocks were the hot ticket. Using dual Schrader valves makes it easier to dial in spring rates when you don't have money for adjustable spring rates, it works great as a substitute. Using them on a larger 4x4, if you're hauling something with weight more on one side it'll help level your load. It'll also make your off road ride more stable.

How do you set up this dual shrader valve idea?

Thanks for helping me to decide which helper bags to purchase. Best video on these bags I've found. My daily driver has an extra 750Lb of weight due to a huge subwoofer C-pillar wall reinforced with 2x4's and steel to support the 4 15" subwoofers and I think this is just what I need to to give me a smoother ride. Thanks.

They will help! Since I’ve towed with my Travelall probably 5-6 times since it’s been on the road these things have been perfect.

I've always had great luck with the Monroe air shocks myself!! They bolt right into your factory shock location and have a 100psi max rating and a lot of travel and are less than $100!! I've used them on many projects over the years and never had a problem with them, you also can get the extra air line from any parts store in the form of manual oil gauge line, same stuff and can even be plumbed to a tank and small 12v compressor as well as being able to use a small ball valve!! Look into them, I've used them on all 4 corners of an ole Chevy Luv and worked great, not super fast but plenty fast enough!!
@PuddinsFabShop3 жыл бұрын
I’m not a fan of air shocks myself, not bad for maybe a chevy Luv you throw a 350 in the bed of, but the amount of vehicles I’ve towed home this last year in my opinion you can’t beat these.

Oh I'm definitely a fan of the lift bags as well!! Just on a budget I've had great luck with the Monroe air shocks for a quick, cheap, and easy solution!! Luv your build and just finished watching the complete build series and liked every single video!! Your great at fabrication!! I think you're selling yourself a bit cheap!! I think you did a great job on this project build and that's something I don't see in many of the builds I've seen!!

Your definitely going to go far with the great content and your cool attitude as well as doing all the extra work to get it to suit your style!! It's all about the little details!! Imo that's what really makes a great build really shine!! This build is completely perfect imo!! FIRE!!

Very nice video and informative, but I think your springs are generous on the lack of number of coils and how far they pull apart. This is a bit of a chore to get the folded bag in between the coils of the springs in a Suburban. I have run these for years, but one of the bags began to leak at the seam, had to replace that one, the best way is to just use a box cutter and cut in in half. I agree with the fellow that 20lbs seems to be about the most I ever needed for my 23ft Jayco.

Iv had some in my 01 Tahoe for quite a few years, just had a seam split. Can’t complain, I’ve “used” them 🤣🤣. Pretty tough getting them in with close spaced coils though.

i found this in search of solutions for my VW Atlas sagging whenever I put something in the rear. Due to me having the aftermarket tow hitch the clearance in the back is very low....any additional lowering due to load causing scraping issues. Safety and performance is paramount and if a new one of these has a crack imagine a failure on the road. If the bag is holding up the vehicle and it suddenly gives out or even gradually; the load will be much worse being lopsided. I guess I'd have to pull over and remove the other bag and be low the rest of the trip. Factory bags or even aftermarket kits are expensive because they use tested and heavy duty bags. Seeing that crack is a huge issue.

Putting air lines on same Schrader valve, when in curves, more air pressure one side and go to the other. Could cause a vehicle swapping back-and-forth. Believe me it ain’t fun on the expressway.

What is the ride like. I want to increase the ride height from time to time on the back for off road terrain. I can lift the back of the car up when it's sat stationary. Will this lift and can I leave them empty when not in use. Do they chaff on the spring?

if it dropped 2 PSI over 14 hrs that's something to worry about I have the same Air Bags in my 4WD set to 15 PSI for normal driving and 25 to 30 when I'm loaded up with camping gear and it takes months for it to drop 1 or 2 PSI I do have zip ties around the barb on the airbag and the Schrader valve.

My Air Lift bags are only 8" in length. So therefore it's to stiff to fold like a hot dog and I have less space between the coils for insertion.

Technically speaking it would but I believe the coil spring is stronger then air favoring one side. Especially with the rear sway bar. My trucks in full air ride with the rear on a t with no issues and they are the only spring.

They have a calculator on their website to help you figure out what size to order. You just have to take a couple measurements on your springs, input those and it will recommend which one to use.
