There are different notes or melodies/harmonies that the same instrument plays. For example, I play trumpet. There is Trumpet 1 and Trumpet 2 & 3. Trumpet 1 has much higher notes and is harder while Trumpet 2 & 3 have lower notes. You will be able to see it near the top left of your music sheet.
