Here in Germany we hear them every month, when they are tested. Sounds nice actually.

Good to know they are tested regularly , but do the citizens receive a warning so they know when the sirens go off? Or a specific day?

@@codyamerica well im not sure , im german and often my parents knwo its gonna be tested and pretty sure we get a warning on our devices (phones etc).

@@codyamerica It's on a set day and it never changes. Here, it's every first wednesday of the month, at 1pm. It's not germany though

Thank you for clarifying that because I just heard this 2 seconds ago and I couldn't think of a logical reason for them to randomly blast an air siren unless there was a threat. This has definitely made me less worried, thank you 😅

Back when my mom lived In ukraine before the fall of the soviet union her schools did drills where they would go under the desks this was training for if their was a nuclear blast or missile attack near by.

On February 24, 2022 I moved out of Kiev that’s what I heard the Sirens go out I decided to pay my passport and go on the airport I’m so sad to this day 🇺🇦😭😭😭
