Nailing a coyote every now and again is one thing but if you wanna wipe em out of your neck of the woods watch this dirty trick! Not only will you learn the ways of the Slock Master but probably get a kick out of seeing ten yotes get smoked by a pellet-gun, FROM MY BEDROOM! Use this method and you will mop them up....Guaranteed!!

I just bought this alarm system. Its great !!!!!!! I bought 3 sensors.......and mounted them 6 inches apart..... ( up and down ). This way if one sensor fails.....another one detects the movement. On top of that....I bought the LED sensor light. So....anytime a coyote comes its lite up and the alarm goes off. However It takes the coyotes some time to get use to the LED light. Its a bit like a laser light and the coyotes dont like it. But in time they do come. 100 % effective !

In Oklahoma we shot On Site! Some people would hang the carcass on their fences to scare the other ones away! I lost 2 Bassett pups a goat and probably 3 or 4 barn cats and 2 dozen Guinea hens to them unti I reacted and went on a hunt wiping out as much of a pack as I could! They never came back.

@@VeryMurica A dog can not threaten a coyotes territory. If they kill a dog,it is to eat him. Not because the dog trespassed on his territory. A coyote is completely nomadic. He has no home. He has no use for a den. Coyotes hunt alone or with others. He can communicate across long distances. He is highly social. Coyotes are not pack animals like everyone fantasizes about. It simply isn't true. Coyotes don't really kill game that is too large for them to kill easily. If it is too large,they simply won't do it.

@@JerryWhite-ee5hy Resident coyotes have family groups (packs) and are rather territorial; what you said would be true of transient coyotes (for the most part).
@kungfoochicken08
@kungfoochicken08 13 сағат бұрын
@@JerryWhite-ee5hy They regularly take down cows in packs and they're quite territorial, which is why calls are so effective. Part of being territorial is getting rid of threats to its resources. A larger dog is absolutely viewed as threat to a coyotes resources. Wild animals are always very careful with which fights to pick. A single coyote won't attack a dog, but a pack of coyotes absolutely will, especially during pup season.

Awsome video! I can not wait to try it. I just sited in my 22 cal Air Venturi Avenger with a Hawke scope. I sited it in at 50 feet. It only took 3 shots to site in and shot number 4, 5, and 6 were in the same hole, dead center of the bulls eye. I could not believe I was shooting that good so I shot a different target with shot number 7. You gussed it, another bulls eye just a little above center. I did not take my time on that one. It is amazing how accurate the new PCP pellet guns are and powerful. Thank you for the many hours of enjoyment you have provided me and others over the years. Keep up the great work, my friend. PB

I've been doing the same at my house for about 5 years. whenever they get too thick, I bait the spot with chicken necks, very cheap, and spread them in a line at the range I've my scope set. Game camera tells me when they come in and I sit and wait for them. 7.62 cal from a FX pcp will drop them in their tracks! I also take a CZ semi in the thick stuff! Keep up the good work!

Tim, they make suppressors for air guns. You could probably get it quite enough they wont hear it at all.
@mattandrews8528
@mattandrews8528 Жыл бұрын
While yes they do make suppressor for air rifles, and I love em, but go back and listen for where the sound is actually coming from. It’s mainly from the SMACK when the pcp slug hits the coyote. I have some air rifles and thermals and I do some coyote varminting of my own and I buy extra suppressors to add to setups that come shrouded like the Texans, I have one like the Great Kami from DonnyFL and it does keep the muzzle signature down further still. But when suppressing cold compressed air instead of a gun shot it’s the smack you want to worry about. It’s also another reason I used tipped rounds and make headshots, it’s even quieter than shooting hollowpoints that smack HARD N WIDE. So suppress away, but they won’t make as huge of a difference compared to say a regular rifle unfortunately.
@johnclifford1911

I have to wonder how the energy from a .30 cal air rifle compares with a .22 LR shooting standard velocity/subsonic rounds. I'd want a heart/lung shot, knowing I'm not going to drop the coyote but a good hit would kill it within 10-30 seconds as it bled out. A suppressed .22 is very quiet, not noticeable past 25 or 30 yards to most critters. My .25 Daystate Pulsar HP has a Huggett moderator and is very quiet even at high power, as is my Benjamin Bulldog .357 with the DonnyFL Emperor with 6" extension (almost noiseless) that would be my choice for 100 yard coyotes using an air rifle. I would also consider using a .357 rifle, like a single-shot break-open or a Marlin 1894 or Win 92 or 94, with a suppressor and subsonic loads for this. I think that the combination of hunting at night with thermal, being 100 yards away and inside a house that the coyotes are used to and ignore, and a very silent rifle would be super-effective... as long as you don't let one or two get away.

you think the .25 has enough fpe for coyotes? I have a gauntlet (gen 1) in 25. I think it has enough power/accuracy for 50 yd kill shots... Mine doesn't like slugs but I think that would be the way to go if exceeding 50 yards. I also have a .308 Texan.... NO Question it has the beans to dirt nap a coyote & 100 yds, is no problem!

From their appearance...a working dog is always more vibrant than a house dog...especially if that work is hunting. There are two videos on YT in which a pickup full of dog pens chases coyotes until they close to the proper range...then they stop and instantly release the pen doors... and EXTREMELY excited dogs fly out of the truck...chase down and shred the coyote. They were the happiest dogs I've ever seen.

Yes, they are very smart. But they're fun to shoot. If you can hit that much smarter target at the same distance, you shouldn't have too much of a hard time shooting a deer. I just like getting up close and personal with a crossbow, but you've got to be really good to even get a chance to shoot a Yotee.. That’s the great thing about air rifles; the ability to take a second(or third) shot. They are so quiet, especially if you put a moderator on them.

If you have anything that reasonably hits with a degree authority at a couple of hundred yards out you should be set, just watch the background, you have a legal responsibility for every bullet that leaves the barrel. Lots of cheaper thermal optics out there too and you can augment the onboard light source with external sources. Because they're pretty smart you don't even have to shoot them all, one or two and the rest put 2 and 2 together.

What night scope / thermal scope are you hunting with? I have used infrared scopes before and that does not look like infrared. It would take a pretty large IR light source to light up a target 75 to 100 yards distant. Your imaging looks more like a thermal sight. That is why I am curious about what scope you are using. ALSO, At the end you showed a remote movement detection system with lighting that you say the coyotes get used to. If you make that an IR light source rather that the garage or incandescent source you could see everything there with your IR scope and your targets wouldn’t see the light at all. It would be just as easy to make that an IR source as the white incandescent, just by the correct IR bulbs off the net.

I am definitely going to give this a go on my farm. There are so many coyotes and no one hunts them around me. I have the ability to make this same set up but was always worried about waking the wife up shooting at night but I am getting an air rifle and going to take as many of those dogs out as I can. Thanks Tim I learned alot from this video.

Be sure to get a moderator. My FX Impact with a DonnyFL 8" suppressor is so quiet that it makes the rifle in the video sound like a shotgun blast. The trigger assembly is louder than the muzzle report.
