Which method of extraction is it? Do you have an office in India? Do you install/ supply machines in India?

The presentation can be improved 2:45 by (1) label inlet/outlet/low/high pressure, (2) clearly define permeable structure and separation barrier, (3) explain structure packed, (4) explain the terms "reflux", "wash" and (5) generally descriptive about what is happening such as LN2 input are boiling or oxygen gas is condensing or gas/liquid flowing up/down (cross-flow) in the structured pack or sth like that.

yes, now i can understand how the o2,ar and n2 get pure and compressed into a emty cylinder bottels
@Kamakazy07893 жыл бұрын
Once you have the components of air separated then it can easily be compressed into cylinders as o2/ar/n2.

Usually they pipe the gases into a big vessel filled with molecular sieves and alumina to remove the 1) moisture, 2) stray hydrocarbons, and 3) carbon dioxide. The gases stick to these filtering media and will eventually be saturated so they need to be "flushed" out with a cheap dry gas. Normal air cannot be fully dry, so sometimes, the plant uses the nitrogen gas it made itself to flush the molecular sieve and make it ready to work again. Its elegant. The product is used to maintain the plant. They turn off the flow into the mol sieve and heat the nitrogen and pipe that hot and dry nitrogen back into the mol sieve. The hot and dry nitrogen will make the three waste gases unstick from the mol sieve and alumina and vented out of the mol sieve. Once the second tank gets saturated, they swap back to the first. Repeat over and over

Idk why I looked this up. It was just a random thought in my brain. I don't even study chemistry
@de0509 Жыл бұрын
I think this is more engineering (thermodynamics) than it is chemistry. Fun fact, usually they use turbomachinery as the main compressor. You need to compress a lot of air to form a bit of liquid so you need the high volume capacity that turbines offer. Compressing the air makes the air rise in temperature, so theres multiple stages of the air being compressed, being cooled by chilled water tubes and then compressed again multiple times. Once enough heat is removed from the gas, the gas can be released into a chamber and the expansion is the final temperature drop that liquifies everything. Ofc different plants may have different processes with different amounts of whichever gas its designed for. Some make a lot of liquid for transport with trucks. Some plants are designed to make more gas to sell to other factories by pipeline. Tbh I myself dont even know any single process fully. Really cool factories
