Air Supply - Live in Costa Rica (1988, video)

The venue of this rare concert was El Estádio Municipal de Tibás, San José, Costa Rica, in 1988. It was originally recorded to TV by Univisión de Costa Rica, Canal 2.
The concert became available worldwide in June, 2020, thanks to a local TV show called "80's Y Más" (The 80's and More) presented by Mau Alvarado. Unfortunately, it's not complete. I guess 40 minutes or so were cut off. However, it does worth a while seeing Russell with his vocal at its peak and Graham more electric and joyful than ever.
I don't have the copyright of this TV broadcast. I hope they won't block this post, because my intent is only reach the most fans I can with it. Here in youtube I'm posting an edit version of the show. The TV adds and the Spanish intro by Mau Alvarado have been removed so that the fans here could concentrate on the show itself. I hope it won't be disrespectful. It wasn't my intention.

I remember the show was amazing and Russell's singing live was so amazing. I do wish that I would have seen them in the earlier 80s or the mid-80s when I was younger but better late than never. The only thing that's driving me crazy is I swear that I saw them sometime in the 90s at sunfest but I can't find any information on that so maybe I just imagined it. I would definitely love to see them again. I know they'll be in pompano but I can't go to that show hopefully the next time. Growing up they were my 2nd favorite band ❤️❤️❤️

My mom was 73 and never been to a concert in her life. It was 2008 Airsupply came to an out door show on a golf course in July and me my wife and 2 sons took her to see them and Russel actually came out into the audience and my mom and all.of us were lucky enough to meet him. The next concert we went to was Cheap Trick those were the only concerts my mom ever attended and i miss her very much. I love you mom, You're the biggest star I ever knew. See you again someday ❤

Yes, Jusei. It's curious how they use to sing so many unreleased good songs years before they entered into the studios to finally record them. Then they sometimes change their lyrics, some of their melodic line etc. I get sad that lots of those great songs have been put aside for years. Ah, Graham presents their brand new song "Stronger than the night" and tells the audience it'll be included on their new album next week lol It'd only be released in 1991 and in 1994 in Brazil (!!)

When they were in Brazil back in 2008 (after more than a decade they had last performed here!), they had a brand new song called "Let Me Be The One", an acoustic song with Russell singing along with Graham on the guitar only. It was and still is one of the best and emotional songs I've ever heard by them. Just the title is fantastic. Well, they sang it during their tour in all cities where they had been to. All fans went crazy! Now if you ask me why they never made it go to a cd, I couldn't asnwer. I wonder if they could too...

Yeah. They start to try out new songs very early. It's also sad that they leave lots of true gems out later. Graham presents Stronger than the night and says their brand new album was supposed to be out next year... 1989.

Same thing happened in 1984...Air supply was supposed to come out....record company held it back 4 songs they played in concert got cut and replaced with other songs not theirs
