Come and fly Air Tahiti Nui with me on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner as we fly from Los Angeles to Paris in their business class.
Know as Poerava Business Class, Air Tahiti fly to five destinations worldwide using just 5 aircraft. A mix of Boeing 787's and Airbus A340-300's, which are due to be retired in 2019.
In this video we take a look at the International business class lounge used at LAX, the seat and service offered by Air Tahiti in flight. I had a really nice experience flying this lesser known airline.

@@Whenitraveltheworld Your very level and even tone of voice has a lot to do in successfully accomplishing your goal, unlike some other trip reporters who I've stopped following, who are too vocally animated, too friendly sounding (they are strangers to me after all), and ultimately too annoying.

Another great review James. It`s good to get some insight into these lesser-known airlines on such a route. Although the seating configuration doesn`t offer the most privacy I do feel that overall they have a very decent offering. It is an airline that I was considering using SYD-PPT-LAX, but their fares are very expensive compared with other carriers on the Trans-Pacific route.

Hi James, another good review. The business class lounge (cough) in LAX was smaller than my bathroom and garage lol! The wine service looked awesome and am sure it was of good quality. Lobster looked to be a bonus on the flight. I hope you new the guy next door as I always try and avoid 2-2-2 configuration aircraft and will plump for the aisle rather than the window as I loathe climbing over passengers. In closing, Yes Qatar have changed my flight time on my inbound from BKK to Doh later this year but as yet not the aircraft lol. Keep those reviews coming and thank you.

You're very right, I was on an AirAsiaX flight from KUL>AKL in January 2019 and I got talking to a Tahitian lady, and we were discussing Air Tahiti Nui and even she (who wasn't a frequent traveller or in the aviation industry) was incredibly proud of the Dreamliner and kept emphasising how gorgeous and impressive it was.

France has a handful of interesting and unique long-haul airlines operating from its overseas territories that include Air Corsica (Corsica), Air Caraïbes (French Caribbean and French Guyana), Air Austral (Réunion Island and Mayotte), Aircalin (New Caledonia) and Air Tahiti Nui - perhaps some ideas for your future trips! Your comment that Air Tahiti Nui is a "partially" french airline is really interesting. It's from polynesie francaise, a french overseas collectivitè. So whilst not a fully integrated DOM (department d'outre mer) like Martiniqur or Reunion, it is a TOM (territoire d'outre mer) - and whilst not a metropole airline its still french as french can be. Albeit with an exotic twist to go with the insouciance :-)

Another great video! ...Those seats have ZERO privacy. I understand they are probably targeting the leisure market, but they should put a divider that is easily stowed if you are traveling as a couple or with family or friends, but for a person traveling alone it looks pretty lousy

Great review, the hard product looks ok for that configuration and the food looked great to apart from me thinking "I hope he goes for the Viennese pastries rather than the ubiquitous badly cooked omelette with strange looking sausages..... " It's one of the downsides of watching flight reviews and seeing the reviewer choose something else to what you wanted to see . If only all could be ordered for the audience without the FA's thinking you were being greedy ... :)
