There seems no better airgun to be had below $1,000 (US) than an Air Venturi Avenger (any of the 3 models at $299 - $429). With its externally adjustable regulator, hammerspring and trigger it simply has no competitors in the sub $1,000 price range. Add the amazing accuracy you (and many others) demonstrated and you have sealed the deal for me to buy this as my first PCP. I must say that I don't understand why any manufacturer is bothering to produce a new PCP that lacks the features found in this gun. Thanks again for producing a video that is honest and informative without a lot of theatrical bull***t! Your viewership must certainly grow.

I cant agree with you more brother. I bought the ATI Nova Vista Liberty back when Hard Air Magazine offered 20% off each purchase and bought 3 of them in .22....under 300$ bro... and so far sir have zero regrets because they hold their own with guns I have costing 2K$+ sir. I swear to the almighty...I don't know what Nova Vista has going on with their uncrowned barrels but I do know I'm sold sir. The most accurate PCPs I own are made by Nova Vista...Facts y'all.

Very helpful. Just bought the Avenger and plan on tuning for slugs this spring. Videos like this help me learn the gun from other's experience!

Thank you so much for featuring this very cost effective air rifle. I have the Air Venturi Avenger bull pup in 22cal. I also have the forerunner of these rifles. That being the Nova Liberty in 22cal. and the Avenger in 25 cal. I v love shooting all 3 of these rifles. I believe they all come from Snow peak factory in China. What awesome Standered Deviation in a rifle well below the $500.00 price tag. Thank you for all your time and effort in showing us what these rifles are capable of doing. Looking forward to the next installment.

As I have noted here before, I own the Air Venturi Avenger in .177. It is a tac driver at 50 yards and under with Air Arms 10.3 pellets. I haven’t tried knock out 10.3 slugs yet but the 13’s and 16’s just won’t fly out of it. The 13’s fit in the mag but load hard, the 16’s just barely fit in the mag (single shot tray no better) and load very hard! I’ll try the 10.3 slugs when they come in. The barrel isn’t choked so one would think it could shoot them. 🤷🏻♂️ In .22, as you have, I’ve been told slugs work well! 👍🏼 Nice to see you! BTW, my wife says bald is beautiful. As a cue ball I am. 🤣

Mine shoots the 177cal Nielsen 12.5 slugs great. Reg at 2,800psi and HS 1.5 turns from lowest setting. 880fps. I haven't tried lower Reg pressure yet. I was testing for power with 16.2gr Beast pellets. With HS max. 16.2gr were 960fps for 33ft pounds. Use the cheap 10.5gr Crossman ultra mags. They work fantastic.

Did some work with Crosman Premier Hollow Points....yup cheap stuff right off the shelf at Walmart. Mine absolutely loves them. Haha like $8-$9 for 500. Still wish it had a better rail for bipod tho. Ive got alot of "wiggle" with mine BUT...its accurate. Have a great day buddy and safe shooting!

My best groups were from Air Arms 16grn at 930fps. Very tight groups. Got them touching at 50m. They did better at 930fps than slower. I had the long rifle tough and I moved the shroud spacer inside to the front of the barrel to get it closer and stop clipping on the silencer. All the changes will a influence the harmonics.

@@richardford5755 The barrel on mine needed a good pollish. I spind many hours on it to get a even resistance when push a pellet through. Got good results with slugs afterwards with out fouling. I do it to all my barrels.

Hi Gurt. Sorry for the late reply. You know that you can do similar testing as you do with your FX rifles. I know you can't turn down the regulator down while there's air in it but you can turn it up. You could start at the min bar and turn it up 10 bar at a time until you max out, like you do with the FX. I bet you'd see some surprising groups.

I would like to see a head to head video of the bull pup version versus the full version

Hi Sir, nope I tried slugs at the higher speed, still too slow.
@waterandair31062 жыл бұрын
My normal long Avenger did love AA 16grn. After barrel pollish and chamber loosening it loved .216 KO slugs (tight barrel). After barrel port opening and elongated with some smoothing on ports and drilling velve to 7mm almost through, just leaving the last bit of original edge of the poppit seat. Got 900fps with KO slugs 150bar. (Original plenum). The reg does creep a bit and I'm not to fond of the build quality compared to other buget platforms. Ok if you only plink 16grn pellets in your backyard.

@L.V-Rider Thanks J.B. But I can't afford those freeken slugs, they are 4 times more expensive than anything else... for 100 slugs I can buy 1000 pellets.
@AimSmall2 жыл бұрын
@L.V-Rider Biae goedkoper. Die .22 slugs is R170 vir 200 versus R450 vir 100 Nielsen. Dus R900 vir Nielsen versus R170 JSB... dan skiet ek maar 'n bietjie mis want ek kan dit bekostig.lol.
