@@magnuseriksson8081 Too much menu diving, restrictive workflow and a tiny screen, unless you get the update and use an Ipad - I would prefer this MPC One instead. Besides, for close to the same price the MPC One to me would be the better deal. Plus, you get more I/O and USB class compliant support for other USB devices. Don't get me wrong though, I have Roland gear as well and their effects are solid. The Roland MV-8000/8800 was packed with a lot of features that the MPC One now has and more, but the MV-8800 was out over a decade ago and is still a great machine.

This video REALLY helped me get sorted for a deadline. I had to turn around an arranging project in the style of Imogen Heap and this saved my butt. I assigned a low harmony and a delay mix amount to 2 Q-links and performed the tune with tweaks live into my DAW. You can Lazy Chop an Acapella to the pads, create events, and you’re good to go. This functionality saved my butt and a ton of time. Thank you Akai. Thank god I got an MPC!!

WOW. I thought the Hype synth was the best part of the update, but the Harmonizer is mind-blowing!! Sounds amazing - better than AutoTune and Izotope Harmony in Nectar in my opinion. I've been making my beats in MPC 2 and exporting to Studio One to arrange/mix, but I can do a lot more inside MPC 2 now. Will this be made available as a stand alone VST for other DAWs??? NEED.

You can use the looper to record audio, save it as a sample, then assign to a program. A workaround for more audio "tracks". 💯

Is there a de-esser somewhere in the suite? I just tried recording vocals into the MPC One for the first time, and the new vocal plugins are great, but it REALLY needs a de-esser.

@Dyler Turden I found a workaround. It's possible to make a de-esser with a combination of send, EQ, and side-chain compression. In the vocal channel, insert a Mother Ducker, and Send from it with maximum level. In the corresponding Return channel, insert first a Kill EQ, and kill everything above, say, 5 kHz, and after that, insert a Mother Ducker Input, and MUTE the Return channel of course. Adjust settings in the vocal channel's Mother Ducker so that it reacts only to the sibilance you want to duck --> there's an OK makeshift de-esser. It tames eSSes, but for hard Konsonants even the minimum 1.0 ms attack seems slightly too slow. I'd rather have that as an actual plugin, or preferably as a feature in the AIR Channel Strip.

lMAO the key detection feature recognizes a sine wave exactly x 2, (ONE OCTAVE APART) AS 4 semitones difference, they are literally in mathematical unison and this software cannot detect the key as the same.

not necessairily. u do need a regular mixer or vocal processor or something that will get the mic signal loud enough to record it as normal audio. an audio interface will work too though.
